  1. Pluses: Ordered bike picked up new bike saddle and new 52/36 chainrings. Won a "award" as an outstanding employee at the couple thousand employee level within CSC . At least I get a bonus. Minuses: Tried to install new chainrings and broke two of the weird bolts and had to make an emergency trip to the bike store where they drilled one bolt out without too much damage to the brand new chainrings. There went several hours... At least my shop took pity on me and didn't charge me.
  2. WANT! Don't know if I need yet but want.
  3. But with SRAM Force component group instead of the SRAM Red group on that one. Sort of too nice for a training/backup bike but so be it I'm tired of my trainer bike not having the same shifting. Also gives me a chance to try tubular wheels
  4. Sorry dude
  5. Thank you grand master for the confirmation And i agree with you about the issue. Wouldn't it be an easy to fix though? I figure you just figure out what impedance your amp has and add an adapter with resistor to give you 120 for Beyers.
  6. Stretch watch out.... it's a precarious life as a house husband
  7. I almost named you as an example but decided to leave it as an implicit reference.
  8. How long do people spend tuning their speaker placement and putting up treatments in their rooms?
  9. As I posted before in this thread. Yesterday I did a 5.5 hour fit session using Retul (RETUL) and was really impressed. I got fit for both road and TT and it was really neat. Biggest change was to a new saddle which cleared up a whole lot of problems. And yes it really fucked up my work day (even after starting at 5:30 am).
  10. True but at least in my case I don't have a garage but I do have a roof rack. I'm thinking of getting a tow-hitch rack for this very reason.
  11. I was moments away from buying a fixie but I've decided to wait until after racing season to climb that particular mountain (if I do ever). What brought this realization on is that I contacted Zipp and learned that if I wreck my Zipp 404's it's under $400 to fix them. The only issue is then my frame which is nearly $3K but to be honest the chances of breaking a frame are pretty small and if I do then I can afford it (especially since I stopped buying stereo equipment ). If said breakage does occur I'll just have to use my POS Trek 1200 in the race, which while heavy is probably only 5 lbs more than my current bike. I'll just pay to upgrade it to SRAM and be done with it. I dunno, the upgrade costs almost as much as a whole new bike.... All I know is that I will race every race I do with my Giant TCR Advanced SL, which was not my plan all along. Don't even get me started on a TT bike.... It looks like they might ban them for cat 5/4? Damnit.
  12. Today I came to the realization that it's better to take the money I was going to spend on a second bike for training/backup and just keep it lying in wait to replace whatever the hell I break on my good bike and ride my good bike with impunity.... We'll see how this goes. I keep having an irrational fear that I will wipe out and fubar my bike a week before some race and not be able to replace it in time... The price you pay with "self insurance".
  13. Awesome

  16. Dinny, good luck with the doc and I'm glad that your wife found work so soon (or was this lined up?) Me: I did a bike fit with motion capture stuff etc. Took nearly 5.5 hours to do a fit for two bikes. Now I'm semi-fucked for work.
  17. Happy Birthday Nate!
  18. I changed some opera tickets to not interfere with bike racing and also let me attend the next mini-meet.
  19. I approve even if I don't have a Tag. Team Zenith and Breitling 4EVA
  20. Today at around 4:30 pm I submitted the 295 page verification and validation report on the software that I am technical lead for to my government customers. That is such a weight off me. It's been driving me nuts for months! :jbl::jbl::jbl:
  21. Yeah. Pretty despicable if true.
  22. Here's hoping things improve Nate and the doc can see you soon. I'm hopeful that being unable to find anything means that it isn't too major?
  23. I think you may be exaggerating a bit to call that the greatest travesty in the history of hockey but I see your point.
  24. To what do you refer?
  25. Do you even have to ask?
