  2. Thanks all. Probably should have posted elsewhere. She's been admitted again. Gail didn't get home until 4 a.m. My non-professional opinion is the chemo she is now on is more likely to kill her than the cancer. The lesions, which are the reason she is now on this chemo, are on the adrenal glands and causing a bunch of issues with her hormones. She rallied last week after 5 days in the hospital and I'm sure she will do it again. I just feel like we are watching the end and it's just not easy. I really hope I am wrong about this. I'm wrong about so many things, this needs to be one of them.
  3. I'm exhausted and we are back at the hospital with my mother in law.

I figured the first time he just got a bad pair but I think I've sent them back for him may 4 times. They are probably sending back refurbished ones but still, it's like clockwork, 6 months, time for a new pair. I think he decided to try something different. I may keep the next pair. I liked them when I tried them at CJ '08.

They are very good but... I bought a pair for my law partner to use at the gym. I think we've sent them back 3 or 4 times. After 6 months one channel dies.
  6. You are welcome to join us next year. I can always throw on another turkey for my HC friends. All I know is I am exhausted at the moment.
  7. Key Lime Pie: Apple cake waiting for caramel sauce: My daughters pumkin spice with cinnamon cream cheese frosting:
  8. I used 650's with my ZD for a long time.
  9. Al, well done. Greg, pick up pictures at Costco. How were you able to find the interwebs and not stumble across a digital camera? And it begins. Started with an hour on smoke. I rubbed butter mixed with garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper on top of and under the skin. This should go about 6 hours at 225. I will fry the other turkey around 3:30. I put a pan under the turkey to catch the drippings to use with the two necks for gravy. 5 hours in and about 10 to 15 degrees to go:
  10. I haven't listened to a lot of high end rigs lately but the ZD/HE-500 sounds great.
  11. Never leave home without it.
  12. Happy Birthday!
  13. Nice Al. Last year the turkey on the Traeger was preferred by a small margin to the deep fried turkey. Here is dinner for tonight. Two cornish game hens and a tri tip and some roasted yams:
  14. Thanksgiving has been moved until tomorrow night. You are invited. I made some apple cake with a caramel sauce, two key lime pies and Britt made some pumpkin cupcakes with brown sugar cream cheese icing.
  15. We refinanced to a 10 year mortgage about 2 months ago. We were able to drop our rate and same a bundle in interest. I'm hoping to add a little each month so I can be done in 8 years. It took a good 2 months from start to finish but part of that was due to a subordination we needed for my equity line. I had a friend act as the closing agent and saved a bunch as a result. Good luck dinny, it will get done. Bryan, congrats on starting the job!
  16. Ed, that looks great! I'm not using the Keg as much as before since getting the Taeger. I use it mostly for steaks and pizza. I need to do some low and slow on it this weekend. As for T'giving which we are celebrating tomorrow due to my mother in law getting out of the hospital tomorrow, I will be smoking a turkey on the the Traeger and the other will be deep fried in peanut oil.
  17. That one is on HF as well. $1650 is too much for that amp at the prices I've seen lately. I paid less for the newer version, non-SE. Here is a better deal: http://www.head-fi.org/t/580343/zana-deux-canada-conus
  18. Getting close to the end of the bottle. At the current price of $300, I think it will be my last for a while. I will stick with the 12, 15 and 20. My local shop is trying to get that Ardbeg you suggested.
  19. Happy Birthday!
  20. Happy Birthday!
  21. Nice Matt, enjoy a nice cocktail while brewing. Jp and I will hopefully be brewing a fairly simple Porter this weekend. I haven't brewed in about a year.
  22. I love Austin. I'm pretty sure that Jp and I are allowed back as long as we don't bring Stevieo.
