I thought the same thing about the LM-7 but I wear it more than I thought I would. I usually use it when we go kayaking or hanging out on weekends. I just picked up a bracelet for it and where it to the office as well. The are on a closeout now for $799 from $1099 and the bracelet is $99. I am tempted to by a black dial LM-7 to go with my blue dial. Once these are gone, they will not be made again. Of course, you could always get the Omega now being sold again.

The BW and Paradive have moved on. The BW was too small. I didn't feel the Paradive was worth the going used price and definitely not the new price. I've picked up an Ocean7 LM-7: Sinn U1: And I have a Kobold Seal SS on the way.

Not sure if this is the right place for this topic. Now that I have the Oppo as my source I want to know if there is a fast and painless way to convert my ALAC files (close to 800GB) to FLAC. Any help will be appreciated. I believe it can handle .wav as well so that may be the easier route as I think I can do that through iTunes.

Ocala is about a 4 hour drive. If you go on the front end, fly into Orlando Airport and drive an hour North to Ocala and them 4 hours South to Fort Lauderdale. If you do it on the back end, then fly to Fort Lauderdale, drive to 4 hours to Ocala and then 1 hour back to Orlando Airport. You can also fly between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale on Southwest. I've done the drive many times, it's not a big deal.

Jp and I have decided to host a meet down here. I've posted it at HF as well. We are looking to have a meet, with gear on Saturday. The rest of the time, is up to those who attend. Depending on the turnout, I may try to get a room at the Embassy Suites where CJ '08 took place. Otherwise, the usual place in Plantation we have the meets in the past.

After being lured to Jp's apartment under the guise of helping him unpack, I ended up listening to his system which sounds f'ing great! I left there, loaded up the kayak and headed to Fort Lauderdale beach for a couple of hours of kayaking with Gail. I need a waterproof camera or casing for my Lumix to take in the kayak. If I had one at the ready, I would have had pics of the manatees and sea turtles that swam by us:

I have it connected to a 42" LCD. I have the Oppo on HDMI 2 and my computer on HDMI 1. Whether it's music or BR disc, I use the tv as the monitor to control the player.
