Router is router regardless of wan type (for this purpose). You just don't use the modem. Modem go docsis 3.0. Not sure what router to suggest. I have a ubiquiti edgerouter with a switch and wireless router running df-wrt hanging off that. Works fairly well for me, but there is likely better out there. I have heard good things about mikrotik. For the "moar" answer, Juniper?
