  9. - Get the fire hose, pressurized seltzer water, fire extinguisher or the like and damp that damn speaker. Then don't tell your boss it's dead. - I second John's recommendation, the Audioengine speakers sound good for casual listening, are self amplified and with an iPod dock, you'd be well served. - The Tivoli radio is also a great idea, they sound good, look nice on a desk and if FM stations in your area are decent, you may have a lot of fun listening to it.
  10. Happy Bday!!!!
  11. Quincy Jones - Q's Jook Joint
  12. Happy Birthday Penger, sorry for the belated wishes. I hope you had a great one.
  13. Very Happy Birthday Vicki. Treat yourself and have a great one!!
  14. The magazine as such, probably isn't a bad idea. Entertaining nonetheless. It all depends on what kind of papers do it, if opinions will be accurate and honest, and how much advertising pressure is allowed biasing the writings. If they include divulging articles about electronics, acoustics, psycho-acoustics... it can even become an useful resource for many people.
  15. I haven't heard the DA10, but own the DA11. It's a nice DAC which sounds better than I expected. The headphone output works fine with low impedance cans, but I don't like it very much with the Senns, though it sounds clean, maybe "too much". IMO it sounds more "natural" than analytical, it doesn't seem a pro unit. In addition it sounds quite consistent no matter if you feed it using Toslink, AES/EBU, SPDIF or USB. I find it listenable even using the optical connection, so go figure. Mr Monkey, I think you might enjoy it, but you already have many good DACs. I'm not very sure it will "outperform" them though I'm quite sure you won't find it grossly inferior.
  16. Maybe you shouldn't DEW IT!!!!!
  17. The AES link isn't working for me

    Prozac music

I'm currently listening to Lisa Stansfield's "All around the World", a tune that has a strong power to rise my spirits. In fact most of her first album can do that. There are many others, no matter how tough conditions are, that may help me to feel a bit happier. I suppose you have your own and may you like to share them. Some other Prozac tunes of mine Art Blakey - Moanin' Charlie Mingus - Moanin' Bob Marley - Three little birds Kool & The Gang - Celebration LV Beethoven - 4th movement of his 9th Stevie Wonder - Isn't she lovely
  22. I'm very happy for you mate, enjoy that wonderful system
  23. Until this transcendent moment you must have been thinking that most O2 lovers were nuts
  24. Happy Bday!!!! I hope you have a great one
