  1. I picked this up last weekend, but don't recall posting a photo... My first Omega Master Co-Axial, and it's only gained 7 seconds in 7 days, which is right there with my pair of Rolex Explorer II watches.
  2. Looks better than it did on the website.
  3. I go through about 50-55% of the battery in 12-14 hours. Today I used it for about 15 texts, 5 phone calls, maybe non-text 40 alerts of which I only responded to 3 or 4, looked at 4-5 of the VIP emails, checked the weather twice, checked the time and my activity about 3x an hour, and I have 53% of the battery left.
  4. The Seamaster Pro 2252.50 midsize, an 80 million serial number'd model from the early 2000's that just came back from service at Omega last October, so still under warranty until next year. It received a COA, new hands, new He valve, new crown, and a few little tiny parts and gaskets (and they returned the originals with it). The photo was before service, on my 7.25" wrist.
  5. I prefer the Tudor by a big margin. Nice score.
  6. Not a scratch on it, although it did spend 5 years up my ass in Vietnam.
  7. I just keep the Misfit hanging on the chain for my medic alert badge, so I don't forget to have it on when I sleep. But Misfit doesn't seem to give sleep info to the Apple health app, while my Withings Pulse O2 does. But I have to manually trigger the sleep mode on the Withings and I would forget 2/7 nights. So does Beddit automatically feed sleep info to the Apple health app?
  8. I still can't decide if I should cancel the Space Grey Apple Watch Sport, or just let it ship and return it after we've decided (that gives us more time to decide). Yesterday the Apple website still said it arrives 5/13 - 5/27/15. Basically Ben isn't sure he wants to pay for one for himself (it's kinda Meh to him), although he said he'd take one as a free Xmas gift. He's paying for a $600 car dent repair, so I'm sure he's a little strapped for cash now as well. I don't want to sit on it for 6 months before Xmas and use up 25% of the warranty, and I don't think I'll be switching back and forth between the grey one and my stainless model. I prefer the more durable sapphire and stainless that can be polished if scratched. What do you guys think?
  9. You should have no problem selling that. Can I also post an Omega for sale in this thread? Is that allowed?
  10. I'm using my Apple Watch from about 10am - 12mn, and the battery is still at 40-50% after that. But I'm not monitoring longer periods of exercise or making long phone calls. I'm mostly using it to monitor my sedentary lifestyle and make me reach activity goals (650 calories), to catch alerts when VIP emails arrive, and to answer and reply to iMessage and phone calls. i also used it to pay for Starbucks yesterday, without having to pull out my phone app or wallet, which helps when using a pair of crutches. So, it's met most of my expectations. I just wish I could also have it monitor my sleep duration and quality, so I could ditch the Misfit (which has very decent hands free automatic sleep monitoring).
  11. Tessalon prescription cough pills, 200mg, get some? Don't chew them!
  12. Moved half my daughter's stuff from CU Boulder to home, and the rest comes home after finals next week. Brought mother-in-law to a nice place for lunch for her birthday, with my wife and above daughter.
  13. The Omega Speedmaster Date Automatic 3513.30 has arrived and my local watchmaker briefly checked it out today. The lume looks good, and the watch is free of gouges and damage. The 1152 movement looks well oiled and the watch is well sealed, but it's running -15 sec/day on the timer (flat on back). It was advertised as -21/sec, so not a big surprise. It came without a Omega box or papers or extra links for anything bigger than a 7.25" wrist, but I had negotiated $600 off the sale price to cover a service, and got it for about the price of a 1998 Seamaster quartz - but this looks new. The serial number is in the 56 million range (56,300,XXX), so safely in the 1998 year range. They had two others just like this one with a 54 and 58 million serial. The -15 sec/day timing is larger than the fine Etachron adjuster allows, while using the macro adjuster means going back and forth beween messing with the watch and timer until it's just right. Rather than leave it a few days for him to get to it, I opted not to anything until I was ready to do a full service later, which will be about 2 months before I give it to Ben. Strangely, I actually took photos of this very same model on my arm in May 2014, side by side with the ceramic Seamaster Pro chronograph, and my decision was down to one of the two when Ben talked me into the ceramic Seamaster Pro chronograph. So, now I'm worried that Ben will still choose a Seamaster Pro chronograph over this one. However, he doesn't have a dress watch to fit under a shirt cuff, nor a birth year watch, so I think this is the ticket for him. I had to loan him the SMP mid-size for prom last weekend because his divers didn't fit under his shirt cuff. I've attached a lume shot in partial light, a light shot, and the one from last year with the actual Seamaster that I bought last May.
  14. I bought two spare links for an 80's Submariner for $115 shipped from Rick. Will they fit a 2000 GMT II or 2005 Exp II if I ever find the need? The later watches have the flip lock clasp, and the '83 Sub has the simple clasp.
  15. That might almost be a fitting description of the Roxanne when heard straight out of the iPhone with the bass turned up, but with the CEntrance HiFi-M8 DAC/amp and the impedance switch flipped to the center setting or the setting on the right (when looking at the back), then the Roxanne transform into a very well balanced and deeply spacious musical experience. It's really hard to beat. Via my iPhone I stick with the JH16Pro freqphase and a mobile cable with microphone. But adding the M8 and Roxanne to the iPhone is slightly better, to me. I know this sounds strange, but since my car accident I actually use my headphones and IEM much less, because it's hard to deal with the wires when walking around the house with crutches or pushing around in a wheelchair; and so I use speakers more, which I can hear all over the main floor of the house wherever I go. [edit - spacious, not specious]
  16. And I'd hate to downgrade my 2005 just to get a hold of your 1998...
  17. And you actually have a 1998 Explorer II and ever want to do a partial trade, let me know. I know Ben would prefer that birth year watch over this !!
  18. My only remaining stats are my SR-5NB gold edition, SR-Lambda normal bias, SR-Lambda Nova Signature, and Sennheiser HE-60 > No Etch :-D
  19. That Tudor reminds me a little of the 1998 Speedmaster Date that I just bought for Ben's birth year watch, which arrives tomorrow.
  20. Man, you are on a roll today! Happy bacon day.
  21. Yep. I'm using JRiver on our iMac to stream to my PS Audio PWD Mk2, and controlling the playback with my iPhone 6+
