  1. I have had more than my share of crowns and root canals done. Nothing fun about it but mostly I have been knocked out and ultimately amazed that it wasn't worse. I hope your recovery goes well.
  2. From the Stretch Collection, I believe:
  3. Quite a pairing, Rob! 😁
  4. Have a great one Kerry! Cheers!
  5. Funny that I didn't think of it because I can't imagine operating one of those!
  6. I've got a few more tools to get in there before I wedge in gaming tables. 😄
  7. The new shop is mostly wired and the big tools all have dedicated 240V circuits. I cleaned up and tried moving some things around to see how the space will work. It feels spacious compared to where we have been working in a chopped up basement space. This is approximately where the table saw, bandsaw and jointer/planer will reside, although the bandsaw will come away from the wall and may change orientation when in use. The blades for the Hammer bandsaw are still being made so it is going to sit in a corner for now, and the garbage rugs used by the tenant for years are now in place for some comfort and grease spot coverage. It's taking a while to get set up but I'm trying to be patient and get things done right. I'm going to enjoy working in this space and it will be much easier when Milo and Otis are in the shop together.
  8. RIP Linc https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2021/06/06/obituaries/clarence-williams-iii-dead.amp.html And then there was one.
  9. RIP Roz and cheers to a life well lived. Condolences to you and your family Todd. Today would have been my dad's 99th birthday. Missing him so much, but happy he is at rest. Today we also moved in my niece to the Mayberry cottàge formerly known as Frank's place. Also happy that she is in a good place and looking forward to the next chapter. Without Frank.
  10. We're going to go thinner with the Hammer!
  11. Very nice. How thin are the veneers?
  12. Capt Stubing sucked but Murray Slaughter was the best. RIP

This was a very cool show that we saw live in the before-times. https://www.sfjazz.org/watch/
  15. Mmmm, birthday nachos. Have a good one Brent! Cheers!
  16. Now the Super Fence has tracks and locks down solidly.
  17. Nice! Steve and I used a torch to draw up the air bubbles in the epoxy and that works well. I really didn't like Osmo but it looks good there. I bought this Woodpeckers Super Fence months ago, received the package weeks ago, opened it finally last week to find out they sent only a single piece of Super Track by mistake. They sent me the actual fence and I got to keep the super track for my trouble. Anyway, this went together very easily, and now I have to set up another router to rout my router table. This very meta effort will create channels for the tracks to hold the Super Fence.
  18. Those big Tannoys really need two subwoofers to fill out the bottom end? There are five cat deterrent spray cans on the system, so I'm guessing they have had issues with those furry fiends.
  19. Have a cold one, or five, Rob! Cheers!
  20. https://www.solventfreepaint.com/linseed_varnish.htm Add Gelomat if you want a more matte finish.
  21. Andrew is 10? What happened to the Boston Butt?
  22. In what country do people pay for that shit and applaud like they're the Beatles?
  23. Saw G-Man's post a minute after my brother emailed an article about how the the 400% rise in lumber prices is putting a damper on surging home building in the Bay Area. If only Stretch had some flat land available on the Rancho...
