QUAD's new "FLOAT QA" headphones coming to the New York Show

Featured Replies

I've seen the insides and there is nothing new there.  Same bias supply as the PS2 box and they were pretty stupid to combine all the grounds and just switch the hot in an age of bridged amps....

That looks a fair bit like my niece.....but she has better taste than old men in funny looking headgear

The problem here is you need someone who is uglier than the phones to wear them lest you draw the attention away from them.....

Oh..!! Perfect model...

Well did you get to listen to the new Floats at the show?

I did. They sound nice, but a bit thin and overall I do not think the price is justified. I would buy them with the amp for around $1500 but the price that they charge is ridiculous.

is that the same guy from the classic float picture?

Nope. It's the German designer of these headphones, a nice guy but not Juerg Jecklin.

That's Manfred Stein, founder and owner of QUAD.

He's still the perfect model for the phones.

We should get him to model the new Kings Sound headphones...

Why spoil another headphone's chances? Then again...........
