Well, I got a reply from the seller.  Serial number is reported as 00268, and he accepts bank transfers only for payment.  

I have never bought anything audio-wise with bank transfer.  Is there ANY protection for buyer if something goes wrong with bank transfer?

 

I don't know why I'm looking at this thing anyway, as I hardly have time for my SR009 and OII MkI as it is and need to be saving for a super-duper stat amp, but I always coveted the HE90

Ask him where is the SN located on the headphones.

Ask about cash on pickup too (you have a relative over there who could do it, right?). If he balks, you have your answer.

This is an obvious scam, it popped up many months before as well (possibly the same guy)

Jon L my advise is never ever do any transaction via bank transfer.

I was scammed thousands of dollars... long story, I wouldn't want to see it happen to you.

Where should the SN be?  I emailed the seller about this question this morning and still no answer, so I will file this under SCAM and move on.

Those pictures don't belong to the 0 feedback seller as that pair in the picture sold over 9k on ebay 2 years ago.

This is the new Nigerian scam technique, they will say its shipping from Nigeria or Uganda or someshit and boom wallet is outta 3.4k.

You guys shouldn't be buying headphones from overseas anyway, unless you want to catch ebola.
