New cartridge in the house!

 

New speed monitor (tach) installed but still having issues with other light sources causing it not work (incandescent bulbs in the ceiling) 😤 I guess either I need more infrared light or a ir pass filter?

I must say, you sure caught my attention with the start of that.

Oddly enough, I have tried about 5 different lubes for my spindle, and that's the one I've settled on.

Funny, I actually just bought and applied that same lube to my spindle after years without any.  

I saw a YouTube video recommending that one.

After getting the new cartridge, I've been all anal about dialing in the antiskate, VTA, VTF, etc. It's good to be into vinyl again.

Swapped back to the AT cartridge and did some listening this evening!

I haven't spun any vinyl oin a while now, but while organizing today I put this on...

You could argue many for best male rock and roll vocalists, Robert Plant, Steve Perry, Niel Young, Paul Rogers, Rod Stewart etc...

But for me it's always going to be Roy Orbison.

Oh, and usually left out of this discussion by most, BJ Thomas and Eric Carmen.
