November 13, 200718 yr So Georgia is having a drought and the governor decided the best fix is going 'old school.' We taking bets on this working in 2007? Anyone know how Alabama spinned the continuing drought?
November 13, 200718 yr I remember seeing something on the news a day or so ago about a single mansion outside Atlanta was recorded to have used 400,000 gallons of water a month. The water authority tried to make some excuse like they couldn't prove he was breaking conservation ordinances. Pretty stupid just cut the guy off, using that much water is insane. The average use for a year for a household is about 100,000 gallons. I do have to feel bad for the people of Georgia, their Governor doing this just makes them all look stupid.
November 13, 200718 yr What can it hurt? Most think we're toothless and shoeless down here anyway. As for Alabama, why would they cared? They're getting everything they want from Georgia's reservoirs.
November 13, 200718 yr ... why would they cared? Crap. Where's the edit-post around here? I'm never going to make it if I can't edit my posts and correct my spelling. ... maybe I'm toothless and barefoot, that's the problem.
November 13, 200718 yr Where's the edit-post around here? 5 minute edit window, keeps the riffraff from spouting off and then just going back and editing out what they said. Kinda makes you think a bit differently when it's for keeps.
November 13, 200718 yr Kinda makes you think a bit differently when it's for keeps. Not a bit! I never think twice before I say something, and have no regrets either.
November 14, 200718 yr Glad I didn't bet. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/14593387/detail.html Sounds like it did work...
November 14, 200718 yr Well it's raining right now, so I'd consider it a 100% chance. But that's just my non-meteorological opinion.
