The fans were so loud that it couldn't stay out in the open. I pulled my old closed stereo cabinet, added a hole for wiring and it's tucked away. I'm going to monitor temperature in there for a little while and see how it goes, but it should be OK. I haven't transferred anything to it yet... I wanted to wait until it was set up for good, but I'll probably get going on that tonight.

I have the 2TB version of this and it works great. The drives themselves are WD afik.
