Hate to sound like a 16-year-old virgin (or a 13-year-old virgin -- or wherever the kids are pegging the mean these days), but holy shit these are a LOT BIGGER than I thought they would be! Would have to say they also sound a whole lot fuller than the previous set, though since those occupied (charitably) a fifth of the volume, that's hardly a giant surprise.

Nice rig!

Here is my overkill office rig:

This next one is the Nugget Audio Beta 22 that is hidden by my monitor:

Next is to bring in the speaker cables Nate sold me a while back that have been replaced.

Nice! I'd love to hear what you think of the SA-705s versus the NHT's you had.

Also, just thought I'd mention I'm really happy with the Quads after a week of listening to them for several hours a day. My Senns are sulking!

Despite flirting with the Little Dot MkVI, I've pretty much decided to stay with a single-ended setup rather than go to the hassle (and expense) of finding a balanced source I like as much as the Duet. So really the main question left is what's out there in the <$1,000 category that would be a solid step up from my current LD MkIVse as a combo headphone amp and speaker preamp?

I'm a bit stumped for ideas, unless someone wants to sell me Zana Deux for a grand?

I blame Al for this.

That always works. ;D

Go ahead and blame me for having the most awesomest desktop setup of any lawyer in America, I can take it. :) That is some sweet office tunage there, my friend. Enjoy it.
