August 21, 200817 yr It shouldn't be at all surprising to find tubes that appear to simply be rebranded. It happened all the time and Sylvania appears to be one of the manufacturers that did a lot of the supplying of tubes to be rebranded.

I came those National Electronics across and wonder if they are just rebranded Gold Brand Sylvania's, cos the price differences are just double high for Gold one. August 21, 200817 yr We'd need a different angle of the sylvania to know for sure if the NE's are just rebranded sylvania's. Wouldn't surprise me if they were.

August 21, 200817 yr IMO there's a big difference in the quality of the solderings at the tips of the pins. The Sylvanias look cleaner and smoother. Rgrds
