Not yet but I guess one of the best dac if not the best :D

Is that the monkey sound for "I'm going to get this next week"?

Proprietary DAC chips sound pretty expensive, but what do I know? Alas, the SOTA still don't have word clock or asynchronus USB. Or even hi rez through USB. Almost as if quality and practicality are mutually exclusive...

Probably not. This thing is what, a million dollars?

So... it's about time to sell your body on the streets for some MOAR DACS?? ;D

I can really see myself getting one if I don't end up finding a decent house this year.

Or if closing costs are cheaper than expected. >:D

This no high-end-audio thing is killing me.

Two words. Stahltek Vekian.

I guess I'm not entirely "over audio". That one made me drool.....:palm:

I'm going to bypass the DAC altogether and learn to listen to unconverted digital.

What's cool about the Stahltek Vekian?

The casework. After visiting their site the urge passed entirely :palm:

Beep Boop Beep.

Yeah, man. Groooovy.

So I checked the Stahl Tek site again, and the 6 moons stuff. I thought I remembered it being $14,000, but $20,000 is definitely not happening. I've never had that much discretionary money in an account in my life.

Maybe I read that $14,000 was the street price or some such. I dunno.

If the difference between $20k and $14k is the difference between no and maybe, then you're a much bigger baller than I.
