Kevin/Birgir:

Is the 10K series resistor on the input from the original T2 (which used a 10K pot) or was it changed to reflect the 50K pot on the schematic?

That makes sense.

TL;DR version:

With a 10K pot you have a cut-off frequency of 80kHz-160kHz, depending on pot rotation and time constant of 2ms-1ms. I find 0.5ms-1.5ms to be inaudible, and 1-2ms is acceptable.

With a 50K pot and 10K, you get -3dB at 26kHz worst case, and 6ms group delay. In my opinion, this is suboptimal, and I'd consider reworking the values if I had a source wimpy enough to not use a 10K pot.

Can someone tell me what size of Sheathing they used for the umbilical cord.

Thanks

Les

On Kevin's original pcb R11 was a 490K single .5watt. I notice on the next revision board this was a 250k in series with a 240k. Was there a problem

with the single resistor  setup.

Thanks

Les

iwik is talking about the power supply, and technically the resistor was running

very close to its voltage limits. So its now 2 resistors in series. Same value.

Its on both of the 500v supplies

Thanks Kevin,

I'll change to two then.

Les

Ah. You might look at Vishay HVR37 series, I think that is what I used and also on the stacked caps and other HV locations..

Thanks,

Must remember to include in my next order. Better than trying to fit two resistors.

Where to buy printed circuit boards? Have the latest list of items?

In the power supply the mod  that was added, .1uf in series with the 10k between the voltage reference and the OP27 what type and voltage rating did you use for it.

Thanks

Did anyone talk to Lil Knight lately?  I'm in his T2 chassis groupbuy, but have not heard from him for a while.  He hasn't responded to my email either.

I've been trying to reach him lately... no reply here or on email.  I know he was having some issues getting the vendor to deliver, then he went radio silent.

Thanks.

About a month ago, he told me parts were sent to be anodized, and should be ready in 7-10 days.

I just talked to someone who commissioned him to build a maxed out KGSSHV for $4k and he can't seem to be able locate him either.  Hope he will surface eventually.

Who else on Lil Knight's chassis group buy, but haven't received it yet?  I have tried, but didn't get any response from him.

I know of myself and two others here.  I've been pinging him every once in a while, with no joy.  I noticed he logged in over at head-fi recently so I have to assume he's actively avoiding us.

Sad, I did quite a few little deals with LK and it always turned out well...  My guess, he got screwed by his vendor in China and doesn't know what to do now.  'course I'm just speculating.

I wouldnt know but when dealing with chinese companies, payment is always upfront. At least thats been my experience

So that makes at least 4 of us still waiting.

At this point, I consider to take unfinished stuff from Tran. It is better than losing the whole sum.

Tran sent me only the half of my order, I ordered and payed a kgsshv offboard and I have not received it, I saw the kgsshv offboard is now out of stock... no response since my order was sent in october (mail and head-case)
