June 16, 201412 yr comment_640967 Kevin/Birgir: Is the 10K series resistor on the input from the original T2 (which used a 10K pot) or was it changed to reflect the 50K pot on the schematic? Report
June 16, 201412 yr comment_640991 same 10k input resistor, same 100pf cap. original was 10k x 4 pot. Report
June 16, 201412 yr comment_641001 That makes sense. TL;DR version: With a 10K pot you have a cut-off frequency of 80kHz-160kHz, depending on pot rotation and time constant of 2ms-1ms. I find 0.5ms-1.5ms to be inaudible, and 1-2ms is acceptable. With a 50K pot and 10K, you get -3dB at 26kHz worst case, and 6ms group delay. In my opinion, this is suboptimal, and I'd consider reworking the values if I had a source wimpy enough to not use a 10K pot. Report
June 25, 201412 yr comment_642328 Can someone tell me what size of Sheathing they used for the umbilical cord. Thanks Les Report
June 28, 201412 yr comment_642740 On Kevin's original pcb R11 was a 490K single .5watt. I notice on the next revision board this was a 250k in series with a 240k. Was there a problem with the single resistor setup. Thanks Les Report
June 28, 201412 yr comment_642750 iwik is talking about the power supply, and technically the resistor was running very close to its voltage limits. So its now 2 resistors in series. Same value. Its on both of the 500v supplies Report
June 29, 201412 yr comment_642874 Ah. You might look at Vishay HVR37 series, I think that is what I used and also on the stacked caps and other HV locations.. Report
June 29, 201412 yr comment_642962 Thanks, Must remember to include in my next order. Better than trying to fit two resistors. Les Report
July 4, 201412 yr comment_643661 Where to buy printed circuit boards? Have the latest list of items? Report
July 8, 201412 yr comment_644136 In the power supply the mod that was added, .1uf in series with the 10k between the voltage reference and the OP27 what type and voltage rating did you use for it. Thanks Edited July 8, 201412 yr by iwik Report
July 15, 201412 yr comment_644918 Did anyone talk to Lil Knight lately? I'm in his T2 chassis groupbuy, but have not heard from him for a while. He hasn't responded to my email either. Report
July 15, 201412 yr comment_644922 I've been trying to reach him lately... no reply here or on email. I know he was having some issues getting the vendor to deliver, then he went radio silent. Report
July 15, 201412 yr comment_644930 Thanks. About a month ago, he told me parts were sent to be anodized, and should be ready in 7-10 days. Report
July 15, 201412 yr comment_644935 Did anyone talk to Lil Knight lately? I'm in his T2 chassis groupbuy, but have not heard from him for a while. He hasn't responded to my email either. I just talked to someone who commissioned him to build a maxed out KGSSHV for $4k and he can't seem to be able locate him either. Hope he will surface eventually. Report
August 6, 201412 yr comment_647637 Who else on Lil Knight's chassis group buy, but haven't received it yet? I have tried, but didn't get any response from him. Report
August 6, 201412 yr comment_647667 I know of myself and two others here. I've been pinging him every once in a while, with no joy. I noticed he logged in over at head-fi recently so I have to assume he's actively avoiding us. Sad, I did quite a few little deals with LK and it always turned out well... My guess, he got screwed by his vendor in China and doesn't know what to do now. 'course I'm just speculating. Edited August 6, 201412 yr by shipsupt Report
August 6, 201412 yr comment_647669 I wouldnt know but when dealing with chinese companies, payment is always upfront. At least thats been my experience Report
August 6, 201412 yr comment_647692 So that makes at least 4 of us still waiting. At this point, I consider to take unfinished stuff from Tran. It is better than losing the whole sum. Edited August 6, 201412 yr by niner Report
August 6, 201412 yr comment_647720 Tran sent me only the half of my order, I ordered and payed a kgsshv offboard and I have not received it, I saw the kgsshv offboard is now out of stock... no response since my order was sent in october (mail and head-case) Report
