Icarium
Anyone got a good recommendation on this front? My parents tasked me with doing this for my potential roomates. I'm not looking for something super indepth.. I figure just like criminal record if any and credit check that kind of thing.
The Monkey
Accurint (Welcome to Accurint) is one of the industry leaders. Keep in mind you likely will need their consent to conduct such checks. Also, CA is a major pain in the ass with respect to privacy issues, but whichever service you use should be able to help you navigate that. Icarium
Thanks yeah I'm letting him know I'm doing it and what not for sure. He already offered up his credit report so I'll see if that's really mainly what my parents were looking for or whatever.
The Monkey
That's one way to look at it. Heh, point taken. That post was made by The Monkey, Esq., defender of poor misunderstood corporations. Consumer Monkey applauds California's protection of the consumer. Plus CA's privacy laws keep The Monkey, Esq. employed, so everyone wins!
tyrion
I second the Accurint recommendation. We use it in the office almost daily.
swt61
That's one way to look at it. Of coarse I'm generalizing, but 47 y.o. me is a lot less tolerant and forgiving than say 25 y.o. me. If there's a child molester in my neighborhood, I think I have every right to know that. If you want complete privacy, then go live in isolation. Better yet, don't do shit that others need to clean up.

Sherwood
So I should send the spring bouquet and Chekhonte ceramic dildo? I figured you weren't able to catch the mailman what with your advanced years, so I am ready to make the best of it.
