A bit on the sweet side I will make another and adjust the proportions, for science.

Can't really imagine what blueberries in beer tastes like.

Having a Liberal Cocktail with Wild Turkey Rare Breed bourbon.

Jim, what about a margarita recipe and sub Elderflower for the Triple Sec?

I recently tried it and did not find it to my liking:

Put the new julep cups to use with the David Wondrich recipe for me and a sweeter, less boozy version for Claire. Sophie thought of a nice mod after mine was fully frosted.

Paris Manhattan (following Jim)

1 oz Wild Turkey Rare Breed bourbon

3/8 oz St Germain elderflower liqueur

1/4 oz Dolin Dry vermouth

2 dashes Fee Brothers Cherry bitters

Not my favorite but not bad (I lowered the amount of Elderflower liqueur).

By the way, those are fucking awesome pics and glasses Al!

I think Shelly has the right answer. It doesn't seem like it will sub well for an orange liqueur. It is also very sweet.

Those are awesome Juleps Al, the frosting is great and the carving is awesome. Sophie FTW.

I made another Paris Manhattan but swapped the proportions of dry vermouth and St. Germain. Better but I still prefer a regular Manhattan.

A Vesper variation called a Matin

3 oz vodka

1 oz gin

1/2 oz Campari

Stir, strain and garnish with a lemon peel.

Just arrived in Texas and sat down to this, using the above proportions. Very nice!

I think Rain has exceeded my expectations in every way, especially given the price. No doubt due to the fine folks at Buffalo Trace.

Duly noted.

If only someone could shrink it down to avatar size, I would!

Does anyone have a good Bloody Mary recipe? I think someone posted one before, but I can't find it anymore.

Youngest I could find - 7yo (other than New Make)

--> Caol Ila 1989/7yo 43% Signatory - Half Bottle

Pretty much true... there have been about 3 beverages that worked better watered down (but that is out of about 1500 beverages).. evil.gif
