Jeffy, how to you like this combination in comparison with the DSHA-1 that you have?  What are the differences?  I'm mostly interested when you are listening to HD-800.

  • Update: The Psvane tube I bought looks like it has some kind of shielding internally: It's smoky on the sides and silvery at the top. In any case, with this tube it's entirely noiseless now.

Interesting that that cage thingie actually provided shielding. I thought they were just for physical protection and looking cool.

Heya! Sorry I've been slow to reply; I haven't had a chance to do any real comparisons yet. I like to listen for a while before going back and forth.

Waiting with bated breath for the DSHA-1 / Peak comparison - mostly because I've long wanted a DSHA-1 and recently enjoyed the P1u a lot (blessingx earlier said the Peak had the edge on it).
