November 6, 201312 yr Interesting that that cage thingie actually provided shielding. I thought they were just for physical protection and looking cool. A new take on the Faraday cage, perhaps?
November 6, 201312 yr As long as it completes a circuit around the tube, it should act as a Faraday cage. It just seems really gappy. But don't question the results (don't "overthink" it) -- go with it.

Sorry I've been slow to reply; I haven't had a chance to do any real comparisons yet. I like to listen for a while before going back and forth.
November 30, 201312 yr Waiting with bated breath for the DSHA-1 / Peak comparison - mostly because I've long wanted a DSHA-1 and recently enjoyed the P1u a lot (blessingx earlier said the Peak had the edge on it).
