Long story short: Donny Diapers got buttmad because Stephen Tyrone Colbert was mean to him on air. Larry Ellison bought CBS and put his bratty kid David in charge of it. David fired Stephen to stay in Donny's good graces (and to get various corporate mergers approved.) Stephen made an appearance on Michigan public access TV. Stephen put the results up on YouTube. YT is now blocking searches for it(!) There are many guest stars. - Yesterday

Today my postman left this in my mailbox... I took the opportunity to listen to it and get some sleep. These guys from Gondwana usually have a lot of artists that I love. Jasmine Myra "Where Light Settles"

Today I slept for 14 hours after a week long struggle. They removed the head of CHP (main opposition party which I'm member) by using court. Can't explain really in English. They set up a new leader who lost 13 elections to Erdogan. Shit went south. They used police to enter the HQ of the party. Started to use more force on protesters who are with elected MPs which is illegal. New leader immediately started to pull some strings to remove the inside opposition. According to unlawful court desicion I'm not a member of CHP any more, but actually I am. Dunno really hard to explain but we're really close to be new Russia. Here are some articles from The Guardian covering the news: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/may/21/turkey-court-removes-head-chp-party-ozgur-ozel-erdogan https://www.theguardian.com/world/turkey Almost all of the local chapters of CHP is pro Özgür Özel. Including us. So after festival new-old head of CHP is going to start to remove all opposition. We decided to resist. New party might emerge, dunno really.

As a diehard KJ fan, I have my "more favourite" and "less favourite" solo piano concert albums of his. I will have to revisit some of them now, thanks for the unintended rec!

Glad to see Cora is home! Best wishes for her recovery.

By all means, share away. If this isn't the place for it, I don't know what is. Those of us who have them all love our floofy children. ❤️ to Cora.

Because reasons... Speaking of friends of the thread. Way Out West by Sonny Rollins (1957) https://open.qobuz.com/album/0088807201473 Example: My first Sonny album I purchased, heavy vinyl from 1992 Analogue Productions. Always stuck. And lives in my queue rent free. I looked and I had three others in my queue, so they just moved to the top. RIP Sonny... 'n thx...

I have to admit I prefer Magnus Öström's style but last night I started reviewing Dan Berglund's discography with Tonbrucket. Then, I felt the need to put on this vinyl: an old friend of this thread but for me it is still magical.

He was also the last musician survivor of “Harlem 1958.” https://uptowngrandcentral.org/harlem-1958 With the death of his fellow saxophonist Benny Golson in 2024, Mr. Rollins became the last survivor of the 58 musicians captured by the photographer Art Kane in his famous Esquire magazine group portrait “Harlem 1958.” “I was a fan,” Mr. Rollins told The Times in recalling the photo shoot in 2024. “I was in the picture, but it wasn’t so much as a musician — although I happened to be there as a musician — but I had been following jazz all my short life up to that time, so I knew a great deal about the guys.” He added that he was particularly proud to have been photographed alongside “my particular idols, Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young.”

I was lucky to see Sonny in 2012 shortly before he was forced to stop playing for health reasons. He was still a colossus. RIP to the true legend.
