Did 13.5 miles with the kids today. I'd just replaced all the cables on Simone's bike, and Thomas got to try out his new (to him) bike. Was good. We averaged 11 miles an hour, and topped out at 25.

This stuff isn't about high quality, it's just about using tubes people know about and can waste an untold amount of money to roll.

Fuck! I was listening to the horrors while working and then had to turn off the sound for a conf call and missed the miracle win! GO SOX! GO BIG PAPI!

After following this thread for almost two years, I have finally finished building 2x KGSSHV amps that I have been working on since April 2012. As these two amps are my first foray into DIY electronics, I can attest that all the information from this thread (as well as from the T2 thread) were sufficient in resolving all my questions/issues that I had along the way. Due to excessive foreign travel, I was only able to work on these amps sporadically (and only when not jetlagged!). The first one (single box unit) was completed using the IXY current source. Unfortunately, the second unit was delayed after I found out that Par Metal had burned down. I finally got around to sourcing the cases and finally finished the second unit (A1968) a few days ago. I want to thank Kevin Gilmore for the awesome design and the members here on the wealth of information shared!

I posted some months back seeking people's opinions about selling my DX outfit for micro 4/3's gear. I've ended up with an Olympus OMD em5 and most of the fast primes. So far, no regrets. Some shots from Saturday's charity zombie walk. All with the Olympus 45 f1.8 from memory:

Joanne's Lamb Curry, Mikey's chickpea curry, more fixin's then strawbs, cream, ice cream etc. Lots of tasty food with great company (Mikey, Claire, and an overworked Al: Hope the Lime Pickle helped)

Finally some good news, my replacement 009's are on the way and should arrive on Thursday.
