3 pointsTook mine in for repair today. The video test immediately failed and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They have the logic board in the store so all the work can be done locally (which means less chance of damage).3 points

2 pointsHad to force quit Safari four times in the last hour. I think the universe is trying to tell me to buy a 5K retina iMac with 32 gigs of RAM, although I acknowledge that this is open to interpretation.2 points

2 pointsTraditional "mixed grill". Steak, gammon steak, chicken, sausages, egg, chips, onions, peas and the crucial tinned pineapple ring.2 points

1 pointYou did indeed inspire us Stretch as it is Breakfast for Dinner tonight. Not as elaborate as yours, just eggs, sausages, hash browns and toast, but close enough for us.1 point

What If SHM has been spinning since I got home. I hate to say it but I dont think its likely much quieter than the cheap remaster on Amazon. I'll have to go back and forth to be sure since every album is so different with this preamp. It may be a bit richer though, I'll know more as I compare this week. SHMs are hit or miss, but when they get it right its totally worth the gamble.1 point

1 pointFor what it's worth I don't read this as a personal preference statement: And look, I'm not here to argue with you about this. If nothing else maybe I'm giving you a little insight into how your comments are perceived by a relatively sane individual.1 point

1 point2 episodes of Transparent - I like it so far (though the 3 kids are a bit annoying).1 point

1 pointMy point is I don't care. Not that you shouldn't either. I happily own a GS with 9F movement and a solar atomic Casio, due to their accomplishments as well.1 point

1 pointMy Citizen E820 movement based perpetual calendar chronograph only gained about 0.0167 seconds a day for the past year. 6+ seconds a year still sounds like a lot, but that's what many mechanical watches can gain in one or two days.1 point

@Ric: Did you and Jeffy make those with his watch? @Rob: I saw that one during the Academy Awards and reversed to watch the beginning twice. Funny that I noticed it was a VPI and seemingly HD800s, but I didn't notice it was Woz.1 point

1 pointYes, I like the Bel Canto designs. This is a Hifi2000 Pesante box of 2U and I used the typical heatsinks of 63.5mm high with 5mm PCB spacers. I only made some low quality photos with my phone I mounted the power LED behind the icon1 point

1 pointBlack Mirror Season 2, Episode 1 Had me weeping twice already, and I'm not even halfway through, what an emotional roller coaster. Shelly, you might want to skip this particular episode for now.1 point

1 pointAfter a protracted 3-day battle, I managed to best the Government of Taxachusetts (a beast that sits on both sides of Hanlon's Razor) and successfully get health insurance. Now if anyone needs me, I am going to keel over dead.1 point

1 pointFor a bunch of boozers, you guys really have been around the headphone block a few times, huh? Where's Tyrion?1 point

1 pointTotally disagree that SA5Ks -- which I have owned previously -- are similar to HD800s in performance or "sound traits." Besides, most people here have heard both so I'm not sure who your advice is directed to.1 point
