I don't really remember the details of the show, but I took a girl to see her favorite band REO Speedwagon in late 1979 even though I wouldn't have been caught dead there otherwise. I do recall it was a good show, and I also recall I didn't get even a proper kiss for my efforts.
Supertramp, Live in Paris '79 -- great gig, all their top songs, zero filler, very great.
I was reminded how the second half of "Child of Vision" is just one long -- stonkin' -- piano solo, very much like The The's "Uncertain Smile". Compare:
^hmmm how would it work with a loaf....
Today's bake, happy with the oven spring this time.
Simple country loaf with a bit of oat flower flour added. 36 hour fermentation process wild yeast bread.

Example:
Opening with this 16 minute monster, Lee had something to say in '66. With Wayne, Herbie and the boys, just a stellar set. {RVG of course}
What an intro....not bad overall, I can't say i LOVED it but I DO love that they named the band that way..... 😊
From me: brand new Chameleons material. I like it musically, and the lead singer (who now goes by Chameleons Vox) has been pretty vocal in his distaste for the current president/administration. Pretty spot-on lyrics....
Change of Command is this week, which means I get my 4th boss in three years (FML) so I decided I'd fabricobble the command gift. The outgoing skipper is a Navy diver who has a penchant for clapping to build morale. So I decided that I needed to work all that into the gift.
So the rough motif is a replica Navy diving bell mounted to a plaque with our command logo and major project logos engraved into brass coins.
but the kicker is that the helmet sits on an LED base that lights up and yes, can be controlled by a Clapper.
Had quite a shock today. My Sister in law sent me a pic of my Mom on the day of her death. This is a picture of her Christmas before last...
This was her the day she died...
Just 1 1/2 years later. I was shocked!
