This! I may get a pair of the ER4SR. I wonder if they did anything to quiet down the cord. It's too bad they didn't make them more comfortable. I hate that the ER4 stick so far out of the ears. Ok, here is what EtyDave says about the new cable: "The cable material is different than the older model. It's a bit softer and more supple (*cough* marketing term) than the old cable so it feels nicer in the hand than the old cable. Preliminary feedback has been people feel it's slightly less microphonic. But realistically, the earphone still seals deep in the bony portion of the ear canal, which doesn't help microphonics. As before, using the shirt clip will help, as will wrapping them over the ear (which is slightly easier than before because we modified the angle of the strain relief)."

I have two drives on my Mac Pro installed (one older 1TB HDD and one 128GB SDD). I plan to start using the SDD but just haven't gotten around to it (and I'll keep most older files on the HDD). I think they both have 10.8.6 on them. I was planning to do a clean install of El Capitan on the SDD before putting all my programs on it. Not sure but I think they are looking for something a little lighter than a really heavy 17" laptop but they won't be carrying it around all the time - they mostly work from home. They will be having it docked to a larger screen for typical use. Not sure about the media storage.

I'm thinking of finally upgrading to El Capitan on my computers. Any reason not to? Main computer: iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) Others: Macbook Air 2011, Macbook Pro 13" retina 2013?, Mac Pro 2009

Damn, those are heavy (at least the quad cores are). Anything similar to Macbook Pro 15" retina in term of quality, performance, weight, and battery life (besides just Macbook Pro 15" retina + Windows on bootcamp - I already mentioned this to her)?

What are the suggestions for high end 15" Windows laptops for someone who does a lot of graphics? It is for a friend of mine.

Went to a vigil for the Orlando shooting victims at the local lgbt center. It was very moving. I know a lot of people are afraid of going to these and going to pride because of safety. I think it is more important than ever to be out and proud (or support the lgbt community) and not let the haters win.

A very weird this is happening. I try to "print" something in chrome and if I try to open it in preview, it say (name of file) couldn’t be opened because you don’t have permission to view it. This also happens if I save to pdf and then try open it. What is going on? This is really annoying.
