  1. I am pretty sure they forgot a few categories like the third dimension, weight, multi touch...
  2. Porcupine Tree tickets: nice!
  3. I have a separate computer for each of my tasks: email, LaTex, web browsing, Adobe Illustrator, itunes... I thought one should always get separate components.
  4. I agree with Mike. I just don't understand how reading on the ipad could be any better than reading on a computer.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Subscribed to this thread and eagerly waiting for a monkey's opinion.
  7. It's about time! I brought my Stello stack (DA100 + HP100) to the office today. I like. I think I will keep it here since I haven't been listening to them much at home.
  8. Panasonic ZS3 camera to carry around when I don't want to haul around the D90
  9. Hoping this will happen.
  10. Amazon Accepts Macmillan’s Demand for Higher E-Book Prices - NYTimes.com Damn ipad. I rather enjoyed the $9.99 price tag for Kindle new releases.
  11. Flew back to Houston after being gone for almost two weeks - yeah! It is good to be home. Now I have to prepare my class for tomorrow.
  12. If you happen to be in the mood for good ribs/BBQ while you are there, this place is damn tasty (it is in Somerville near the T - red line). Redbones barbeque
  13. Those pork ribs are making me hungry.
  14. Had a good time hanging out with JP, Al and Ric. It's too bad that you NorCal'ers will be losing JP, he is a cool guy (Al and Ric aren't too bad either ).
  15. Yeah Dinny!!! :jbl:
  16. Too expensive?
  17. I would buy one if it had a digitizer pen option, but without that, I really have no use for one (already owning a Macbook Pro, slate tablet pc, Kindle DX and Palm Pre). I do think it a great machine for the average consumer who just surfs the web, checks email and perhaps types up a term paper or two. Certainly seems to be a netbook killer. I just hope that Apple doesn't stop producing ``real'' computers.
  18. Very very impressive!
  19. Just a bit.
  20. Geaux Saints!
  21. The NO/MIN game was fantastic! I am happy to see the Saints get a chance to play in the Superbowl.
  22. Excellent!
  23. I got the following email from Amazon a couple of days ago (because I own an amazon DX cover). I guess they are finally realizing there is a problem. --------- Dear Kindle User, We’re sending this note to remind you about proper attachment and use of your Kindle cover and about Amazon’s Kindle warranty. You can view instructions and illustrations here: Amazon.com Help ATTACHING THE COVER To install the Kindle, open the cover and lay it on a flat surface. Then insert the bottom attachment hook on the cover into the bottom slot on the left edge of the Kindle. Rotate the Kindle to insert the top attachment hook. Then slide the switch down slightly to lock the cover attachment hooks in place. Be sure to place the Kindle flat on the cover during installation. Do not tip the Kindle at an angle during installation, as that may cause the cover attachment hooks to bend. USING THE KINDLE COVER When using your Kindle with the cover, be careful to open the front cover only. If you open the back cover and pull the cover away from the Kindle, that may cause the attachment hooks to bend and could result in cracking or other damage to the Kindle. THE AMAZON KINDLE WARRANTY Your Kindle is covered by a One-Year Limited Warranty you can view here: Amazon.com Help: Kindle (U.S. Wireless) One-Year Limited Warranty If the attachment hooks on your cover have become bent, or your Kindle has developed cracking or other damage near the location where the hooks connect to the Kindle, please contact Kindle Support by phone or email regarding warranty replacement. You can reach us via phone or e-mail through our website by clicking the Contact Us button on our help pages at Amazon.com Help: Kindle or directly by calling one of these numbers: Inside the United States: 1-866-321-8851, Outside the United States: 1-206-266-0927. For more information, please see the Warranty Service section of the Kindle Return Policies Help page: Amazon.com Help: Amazon Kindle Returns Policy Sincerely, The Kindle Team
  24. Really wish I could have made it! I am sure it was a great time.
