Out of these headphones I've heard/owned all but AD2000. If you're looking for the best can for variety of music genres then I'd go for MS-Pro or RS-1. They do pretty well with everything but the shine with rock/metal music. MS-Pro has slightly sharper, edgier and more analytical sound than RS-1, which is more "musical" and smoother sounding. It's totally up to your preferences which one you prefer. SA5000 is a great headphone. It works very well with electronica and fast rock or metal music. It has extremely detailed sound and it's also very fast. No problems with double basses or complex passages. I'm not sure what gear aerius used when he auditioned these headphones but I just pretty much can't agree with anything he said except that SA5000 is quite comfortable on your head. High end can be much more fatiguing on MS-Pro than it is with SA5000. I never had problems with sibilance or stuff like that with SA5000. K601 was nothing special to me. Mids and basses were hidden somewhere. High end was clear and detailed. Very thin sound for my preferences. All in all it was pretty much like K701, except K701 has more balanced sound signature. I like when there's more body in the sound. My #1 preference is Sennheiser house sound (HD600/HD650) so all the headphones mentioned (except AD2000 which I haven't heard) sound slightly thin and bodiless to me.

Nice to see Nightwish mentioned here. It's not on my top 3 but the new album is very good. I'd rank new Dream Theater, Symphony X and Threshold on my top 3.

I never liked Deus Ex that much. System Shock 2 was my favorite.

It took me a while to realize what to do on the last level. Luckily I realized it. The ending is totally awesome IMO.

I played it through and liked it very much. Too bad it was so short. The ending was great. Very recommended PC game definitely. What I liked most was the background story it had. It reminded me of the movie Cube ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0123755/ ). Anyone seen this movie and have same thoughts?

Beautiful setup you have there. Those super tweeters look actually very good on TD10, unlike they do on the cheapest models (on which they're made of some kind of plastic I guess).

I already posted in Head-Fi about the amp (looks very beautiful now) but only in these pictures I see a Lessloss DAC. How is it?

RS-1 > GS1000

Yeah. I was at my friends place today and once again auditioned GS1000. Now I can finally say that they just aren't for me. He had chosen a tube combination for SP Supra which he thought is the best or very good for GS1000. Still they sounded crappy with most of my demo tracks. Some electronic stuff was ok but with rock like Tool and Riverside, totally crappy. Boomy bass which overwhelms the other frequencies. This combined with shrill highs and hollow midrange. I'm not sure should I post this to Head-Fi.

Try tell that to GS1000 fanboys at Head-Fi. I tried, now I'm a troll.

I can't understand how people find GS1000 highs smooth. Smooth would be the last word I'd use.

This must be the first time when I completely disagree with you Iron_Dreamer. I just don't like GA1000 at all. Usually we have quite similar impressions.

How about Lehmann Black Cube Linear (with USB input)? We had it in our local minimeet at the weekend. It sounded very good connected with USB. I think it's in the same price class as GCHA. http://www.headphone-amplifier.com/black_cube_linear_usb.htm

I would call it the ugliest piece of audio gear out there.

Is it OK to get wasted on weekends? Only alcohol here though.

Does Rudistor have a normal 30-day return policy?

I owned RP5.1 and it was a very good amplifier for HD650. It worked very well with many other headphones also. There were some quality control issues though. I had some problems with the amp but the customer service was excellent. I shipped the amp back to Italy and got it back in 1,5 weeks fully repaired and some upgrades done also. Rudi also included his interconnect cables (price on Rudistor website was 100EUR back then) to cover my shipping expenses. After the repairs I had no problems with it anymore. His amps seem slightly overpriced but hey, what doesn't these days. I don't know much about the construction or components used so no comments about them. I sold it because I went for a speaker rig but later on came back to headphones.

I don't like them at all. Sibilant highs, recessed mids and bloated bass. There's pretty much nothing good in GS1000's sound. Their sound is mid-fi at the best.

Thanks for the comments. I had some interest towards Opera but this review pretty much killed it. I'd still like to hear it. I thought that could it maybe compete with my Stello stack because it's pretty much in the same price class (though Stellos are slightly more expensive) but obviously it can't.

So have you all Porcupine Tree fans checked out the new Blackfield album already? Blackfield II is the name. I think this is pretty much as good as the first one (= awesome).

I've owned it. It was actually my first headphone amp and I used it with HD595 but also tried it with HD650. I didn't like it at all. Audible humm in the sound all the time and the sound quality was nothing special. I didn't even notice a huge difference between E-10 and my soundcard back then. My E-10 was sold pretty soon and I bought Rega Ear after that.
