  1. Well, crazy as it sounds, I think they will raise its value. Now it's clear that there will not be another PS1, at least not in the next years. John seems to be more interested in the GS1000 school of sound.
  2. I'm hurting for Dan too. I always have been a happy customer of Mikhail (he never has let me down), but this is too much. I think I will never deal with him in the future. I'll donate some cash if needed.
  3. Take into account that these are "special" Grados from John collection, not used and sold for charity (we are always more generous if there is a charity involved). I don't think this is the current market price of PS1s.
  4. There is not such thing as best pads. In my opinion, having bowls and flats is a must. I prefer flats with rock, especially with metal, but bowls with pretty much everything else.
  5. Going on topic, there is a wap version of SMF that I find very useful with some mobile devices: http://www.head-case.org/index.php?action=forum;wap2
  6. Use Burrrn for this. You onlyneed to press one button to burn any audio format to CD. And it's free. http://www.burrrn.net/
  7. > I do not understand why anyone would buy a Tomahawk Let's not exaggerate things . I do not have a Tomahawk personally, but my wife has one, as well as several friends. This is what they tell me they like about the Tomahawk: 1. It has wonderful autonomy. 2. It is small. 3. It is very well constructed. Very resistant for portable use. 5. It is pretty . 6. Goes well with IEMs, specially shure e500. Of course it is not perfect and it is not for everybody. The trick to be satisfied with any audio equipment is not to believe the hype blindly and be able to define what qualities are important to us. Of course this amp may be attractive and in fact is attractive to many users. And I think that we all can agree in that it was kind of a "breakthrough" in the market of portable amps at its time.
  8. In my opinion RS1 is clearly superior to the HF1 without modify.
  9. Oh yes. How could I forgot The Roundhouse Tapes? Wonderful live album, one of the best live metal albums in years. I was not considering it a 2007 album, I suppose because the music is not new...
  10. I was refering to a previous post that I edited and replaced by "ignore this" . I was reading this thread in wap mode and did not realize that it was an old thread, solved months ago.
  11. I've been listening to some of the albums mentioned here. Therion - Gothic Kabbalah (great album), Symphony X - Paradise Lost and Nightwish - Dark Passion Play are my favourites. The last one surprised me because I'm not a big fan of Nightwish at all
  12. We had the opportunity of comparing my Singlepower MPX3 (maxxed) and a Zana Deux at the past Santiago de Compostela meet and most people preferred the Singlepower. We made the comparison with 3 6SN7s. The Zana D. owner preferred the Singlepower too. And with tung sol 5687s I clearly prefer it. I think he is not very happy with his amp and he may sell it in the near future .
  13. She uses beyers in her presentation video
