  4. I've gotten good mileage from a mid eighties Technics SL-10. Nice compact and relatively idiot-proof unit with a built-in phono preamp. Prices vary but they can be had regularly for a couple of hundred bucks.

  6. Damn that Parasound is super nice. I've long had a thing for good mini-systems. This is the first rig I've seen which makes me consider ditching my old Toshiba system 15 stack. I now hate you. Lots.
