What did you do today?
To be honest I don't have too much stuff, the bulkiest part would be my test lab and computers. I recently got out of the military so most of my stuff such as clothes are still in their moving boxes, though I have no furniture to speak of that's my own. Hopefully, that will make moving a simpler affair. The job offer is decent, with the most attractive parts being that they'll help pay for education and certs along with the fact that they're going to transfer my security clearance over. I'm a Windows Sysadmin that's hoping to get my civilian career started and the offer looks like a good way to do that and finish off my bachelor's. On topic post: I drove back down to Southern California from Sacramento today, nice and sunny on the way down as opposed to the rain and snow on the way up.

Received a job offer for a position in Maryland. Anyone have tips on a cross-country move? Aimless1: that's a difficult decision to make

Raffle To Raise Funds for Relief In Haiti
I had to administer a very finicky citrix server for a short time at work. I can totally relate to the love/hate deal That being said it's wonderful to hear they'll be matching!

High Performance USB Cable
Perhaps you were lucky that the out of spec cryo cable managed to match the tonal quality and depth of your properly spec'd pico usb cable? While googling the cryo usb cable I came across this picture:

Wow that's terrible. I live close enough to UE to drive over to them, so if I can help with a RMA or anything in any way let me know.

That's my issue. My canals are a bit on the small side, to the point where the stock tip just barely fits, but the small tip doesn't seal properly. The comply tip that it comes with (which I think is a medium) seals great but it seems to be slightly larger than perfect, so I'm hoping the small comply will fit just right

Mine arrived today though they were originally estimated to arrive tomorrow. I do like them quite a bit, though I'm not sure about the fit, might have to pick up an assorted pack of complys to give them a try.

Thanks for the heads up!

That's amazingly poor taste. My guess is they're probably going through the sale thread looking for people who missed out and then PM'ing.

just lost 3x1tb drives...
As you're doing simple file storage, I would recommend #3. If you go with a server mobo you'll get lots of features you don't need and also you probably won't get craploads of sata ports on board. Have you thought about using a Windows Home Server setup? you can set it to automatically mirror specific shares, so there's always a second copy of your data on a separate drive.

Home Depot honored it and even applied 10% off to beat the price. YMMV though, I was quite amazed they even honored it (was mostly a "well, can't hurt to try" visit on my part). Ad is only valid thru the Sunday (6th) so go visit your HD and Lowes and give it a try!

I personally use a WHS setup to mirror my data. Works quite well
