It was a gold box deal that has since expired; I believe you can get the 1tb for $77 from amazon now though, if that strikes your fancy.

Recommend cordless drill
I went for a Makita BDF452HW after reading Fine Woodworking's 18V roundup review: Tool Test: Compact 18-volt Cordless Drills - Fine Woodworking PDF Cover Page Li-Ion 18V so it's got a good amount of torque in a small package; I also found the LED light to be handy as well.

Definitely like the cherry gloss finish on the Quads! Never heard a Quad before, hopefully I'll get the chance to hear them someday

The Salamander Synergy stuff looks good and the rails on them definitely look like 8020 bars

The more I read about the 8020 stuff the more I'm interested. What kind of layout are you planning on using for an 8020 based rack? As for the circular columns, would this work perhaps? http://www.8020.net/Default.asp

It's my first rack, so I'm sticking to the road more commonly traveled Only have access to my power drill so I have to keep it simple. That 8020 stuff looks great! It's like an industrial lego set.

Part Sourcing Assistance/Advice Thread
Not quite a part for a project, but I'm looking for a good magnifying lamp. Anyone have recommendations? I know there was some discussion elsewhere on this board and I've searched but came up with nothing.

I just got a PanaVise with a few accessories. So far, it seems to work a lot better than the radioshack helping hand that I've used up till now.

I'm burning in my speakers by listening to them (not right this moment though, it'd be tough to lug them to work)

Perhaps an extra long power cable

Due to the fact that the larger inductor in both of mine were snapped off the XO, I never listened to mine stock and went straight to modding it to the zaph v1 XO. Wish I had my room measuring setup with me to see how the response looks, but so far it sounds good. Factoring the price, it sounds amazingly good Fedex also nearly failed at delivering them three times in row for me; it was a direct signature required and I was busy at work the first two times. Luckily enough their third attempt was on a Saturday.

Perhaps a manual mill that can eventually be converted/upgraded to CAD easily?
