Would you be willing to send those my way for a sample in a few months when I'm all setup? Thanks, I hope so. -

Looks like I will be picking up Rics B22 as well as some new LCD-2s. I've been trying to hunt down reasonably priced(sub $1k) USB DAC options. My taste is too rich for my wallet at the moment. -

Thanks for pointing me towards that. I shot him a PM. Probably slim chances of finding a used Rev2 LCD2 though. At least the price new isn't so bad, beats used HD800s -

Thanks Ari, I've never owned an OTL amp so that might be fun. I also like the way you think with booze and bullets. Do you still have my old vintage RS-1s that you modded? -

So it's time for me to build a new home rig. I haven't been keeping up with the new stuff much. I stopped looking at gear around when the HD800 was FotM. I've been enjoying my ES3X for quite some time now but have been missing having proper cans. My budget is around $3k for cans and an amp. I might be able to stretch it to $4k, but would really prefer to keep it down. I will probably be building a DAC over the winter/spring. DIY isn't out of the question as I'm not in a RUSH to have a setup. (sooner the better though ) I will mostly listen to classical and folk when it's not just background noise. So as far as options I was thinking of these: HD800 or LCD2 with a B22 or GS-X if I can find one used for the right price. O2 and build a BH (I have some old boards laying around) I'm open to any and all suggestions. I know you guys can't pick gear out for me but I'd like suggestions as far as good combos these days and what's worth spending money on.

Yup. Can't wait to jump it, if only these damn winds would knock it off.

I plan on going to a Keith Code class this year at NJMP also. Can't wait! I'm supposed to be going to Deals Gap in August this year, should be fun. The fastest I've had my R6 up to was around 140. While I do love hitting the triple digits the corners is what I love. My current ride: And my current project ride -
This is how I feel. I liked the simplicity of the site before but they keep trying to fix something that's not really broken and it sucks. I don't mind most of the new photo features but the pop-up black box deal sucks.

Just finished up a Rocky Patel '92 Perfecto, love those suckers. I finally got my hands on my first Cuban (gift). Should be lighting that up within the next month.

So I hate 99.9% of headsets on the market because the headphone portion is always uncomfortable as all hell, and the ones that aren't uncomfortable are huge HD650 style. So I have an uncomfortable ass folding headset thing from Plantronics and a pair of PortaPros I plan on combining. I've done some work so far but this seems like it will be almost too simple of a mod. The PortaPros have that random screw hole that does nothing on the left side and the Plantronics mic is on the left side of that headset with a pivot point. So far I demolished the Plantronics headset and got the mic out of it unscathed. I took the tiny screw out of the side of the PortaPros and popped out the little metal piece that the screw goes into and it left a hole ALMOST big enough for the post that the Plantronics has on it's pivot. So I used the tiny scissors on my leatherman and put one of the blades into the hole and shaved out a bit of the hole and now the mic fits PERFECTLY into the PortaPros. I will try and snap some pics for those who are interested. I need to get some cable because I want to recable the mic with the PortaPros so it looks proper.

No web browser on the nook is sort of shitty.

Anything interesting to do around Scranton, PA?

Can't say I've ever had a cheese steak at Le Ben-Fin but a few of the top places would be Pats, Geno's, Jim's and Tony Luke's. -

I with you on that one, the whole album is great. As far as hand tools I use this and it's great: Husky 26pc SAE & METRIC Ball-Head Hex Key Set w/ Torque Handle - 32207 at The Home Depot

I actually use a program on my computer called bay genie I've been using it for years. It also supports the bid groups and such.
