  1. Zach Braff's brother... Decent so far.
  2. I'm sure we can work something out I had my chisels sharpened right before Christmas and haven't had a chance to use 'em yet!
  3. I should... 2 pair out of a 12" blank is pretty easy.
  4. Grado cups... Probably something shaped like the ones in my sig.
  5. I <3 Wenge. I have a blank I've been wanting to turn for a few months now, and just haven't had the time...
  6. The Deluxe Edition is pretty neat... Small box with heavy cardstock booklet, poster, postcards, the CD and a DVD, all for $1 more than the standard edition at my local shop.
  7. :fingerscrossed: What this time?
  8. Just a heads up for anyone who may not have realized the day was here... Goldfrapp - [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Seventh-Tree-Special-Goldfrapp/dp/B0011FXLCC/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1204040010&sr=8-1]Seventh Tree[/ame] came out today. I've been lucky enough to have been listening to this for a few months now and all I can say is... While it's unmistakabley Goldfrapp, it's unlike anything they've done before. Alison's voice is a great as ever, and if anything, Will's stripped down soundscapes that are probably closest to folk provide an even better stage to showcase that voice. It's far closer to Felt Mountain than Black Cherry or Supernature, but even still it's not a retread of that sound either... It's more straight forward. So far I've seen mixed reviews, but I think it's an absolutely beautiful record. "Eat Yourself" is the stand out track for me, but there's not a weak one among them.
  9. This thread took a turn that I did not expect.
  10. How many hours of burn-in does it take for them to fit my larger than average head? It's funny... It's not unreasonably large. I never have any trouble getting hats, ski or bike helments. But wearing a pair of AKG headphones, with the exception of the K340s, is out of the question. As a result, the K701s, their sound, their (real or imaginary) burn-in characteristics or anything else are kind of pointless for me to even think about. It's clearly not an rare occurance, and it seems like it's incredibly poor business to ignore as many as 25% of headphone listeners by limiting their adjustablity. [/rant]
  11. Just finished: Very entertaining read.
  12. My argument can be summed up in three alpha-numeric characters: GT5
  13. I'd agree... It does continue to improve. And I was oficially shocked at the casting of Brian Austin Green! I was like what? But as long as Summer Glau is on it, I'll be there.
  14. Well, I've read up more on the Outlaw Model 2200s and it seems to be a mixed bag as far as reviews. I guess they're manufactured by someone other than who makes their multi-channel amps, and most seem to feel they aren't as good. Probably still good value for the money, but it may not be what you're looking for.
  15. Happy Birthday
  16. Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!
  17. [worthless recommendation of gear I haven't heard] The Outlaw Audio Model 2200 Monoblocks @ $325 (or $275 for B-Stock) each would be a way to maximize bang for the buck. I even see a pair of them (which have since sold) on audiogon for $450. I've read nothing but good things about them, and loved my Outlaw receiver. [/worthless recommendation]
  18. Naw, just don't care.
  19. First hair cut in 8 months...
  20. I had the same problem until I collapsed the sidebar columns. Once that was taken care of, it was fine.
