  1. Ha! Would have never seen that.
  2. Happy doubly big birthday, Ethan!
  3. Don't get me wrong, Rose very well could be league MVP this year, and deservedly so. Want to see what he does for a couple more years before I'll concede on Rose > Pippen. Scottie was one of the best to ever play the game, although overshadowed by MJ. I'm still happy that Kansas beat Rose and company in the 2008 national championship game. As for other Bulls greats, Rose is laughably > Bob "Butterbean" Love, Chet Walker, Norn Van Lier, Reggie Theus, and anyone else ever to earn a little respect around town.
  4. My guess is that eventually he'll be thought of as the second best player to ever wear a Bulls uniform. Still have to put Pippen ahead of him, but suspect that will change in time. Don't think he'll ever dethrone MJ though.
  5. Anything interesting here, or same old, same old? Fun to see the Bulls doing so well and the emergence of Derrick Rose as a prime time player. My brother and his boys were at the game today in Chicago to witness a 16-1 run by the Bulls in the last 2 and a half minutes of the game to pull it off. Not counting on much though. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Lakers and Celtics in the finals, as usual.
  6. Shelly, Beefy, Al... my thoughts are with all of you and your families. Scary times like you're experiencing now remind us all of how fragile life can be.
  7. Oh, don't get me wrong, the original Bat out of Hell album was fantastic, at least in its day. It says 1977 as well as any album I can think of, and 1977 was a really good year in music. The problem was, Meat Loaf just didn't go anywhere from there. BOOH 2, BOOH 3, BOOH Live. It was all nonsense because they had simply run out of talent and ideas with their one album worth listening to. "My Aim is True" also came out in 1977, and thankfully EC has had a lot more to say ever since.
  8. No, you should just say, "Luckily, I don't care what other people think of me." Period. Full stop. Ok, so maybe you kind of, sort of, care. You care in the sense that it's human nature to want to fit in and be liked, etc. But at the end of the day, you just need to be Ok with yourself, and you seem to be.
  9. That's his way of saying that you're an annoying fuck no matter how you slice the cards. Glad to know that you're not the only one who has ever heard such a personality critique.
  10. ^ Ya, those are the ones that really suck! I call them BOOH 2 and BOOH 3. Ha!!!
  11. Nice sweep on Meatloaf's back catalog, Jim. Gotta warn you, though. After the original Bat Out of Hell album, it's all downhill.
  12. These kids have some talent! 5 mini guitarists You don't see them until the 17 seconds into it.

x2. Both the NIN album and a pair of Classic with SmartWool. I was quite disappointed with my first pair from Vibram. Actually, I bought a pair for myself and another pair for my g/f, and they pulled a bait and switch on us for BOTH pairs! They were shipped directly from China, but even so, I was going to return them, but VIbram never responded to several emails that I sent, describing the problem. Basically, we didn't get what we ordered. The sizes were right, but in both cases they sent lower priced items. Anyway, I'm over that... this time I've ordered a much smaller size, consistent with the way they suggest you measure your foot in inches as opposed to shoe size (I don't recall doing that last time). Hopefully, this pair will fit better.
  14. Was looking at the pics at the can-am site, and ran across this one! So perfect for a music room side wall or even rear wall if it doesn't vibrare too much. Beer and/or ice cream while searching for the next disc to spin.
  15. ^ That's much more Canadian than American!
  16. One of my favorite words, that cunt word; always gives me a chuckle. Nice to know that Jim has cunt clearance.
  17. Happy birthday, Mike. Glad you enjoyed the meatloaf and music. That sounds like a good time to me.
  18. I'm in NY and went to the B&H Superstore today. Bought a Canon 17mm tilt/shift lens. This one: My link I'm actually having it shipped to Florida along with a battery grip for my 5DMk2 and a couple of other odds and ends. Saved over $200 in sales tax that way, and it's not like I need it right away. Fabulous looking lens in terms of build quality. Should be fun.
  19. Isn't that the truth! I'm transitioning between #3 and #4 myself. At the moment, I'm 14 weeks into my Santa beard.
  20. I was just flipping through channels and bumped into the boxing channel. They were showing an old fight form 2007. The winner was Butterbean, who then became 58-1-2 in his career. The announcer said, "Well, that's true, but the only guys he's fought are Dusty Trunks, Willie Getup, and Kenny Last." Gave me a slight chuckle.
  21. Nevermind... just got a reply from Andy.
  22. Me too, on all counts. The pair I won is very red.
  23. Fucking Kansas got beat... sorry, I know I've posted about this before, but it's just now sinking in.
  24. I always thought it was legi, but what do I know? Something I thought Steve would be interested in.
  25. This struck me as kind of odd, especially that part about "restructuring his business' presence" so I just gave Todd a call and actually have him on the phone right now. What he said is that he's presently restructuring his website (a brand new one is coming soon) and that this has been a terribly time consuming process, as in getting up at 5am every morning, etc. But just to be clear, "It's all business as usual at TTJV, and actually it's getting a lot better... with over 100 new products coming on to the new site that weren't on the old site," yada yada.
