Sorry for the delay - I thought I had already responded. Anyways, when I first installed SqueezeCenter, Squeezebox and my iMac weren't able to find each other. I tried for a while trying to fix this problem to no avail. I eventually re-installed SqueezeCenter and everything went through fine.

New wipers for my car and a clipper (hair).

I love my Squeezebox/840C combo, personally. Makes accessing all my audio a breeze and the combo sounds pretty darn good. I can't wait to unpack them again.

Damn you. What's the country of origin for your SR-007/717, i.e., where would one need to send them in for repair/warranty?

Looking at them, the first one (the cheaper one) appears to be the old version. I'd call them to see if they (Audio Cubes) can actually get them, though, as Stax has stopped producing them. AFAIK, the spec didn't change from old model to MkII.

You could just get a regular optical cable and a Toslink to mini adaptor for the cable. Something like this.

So what was jp#'s criterion for the Team Minimal? One pair of headphones? Of course, if having three rigs (stat, dynamic, portable) disqualifies you, I wouldn't make the Team either even after I follow through with my plan as I'll end up with three rigs (speakers, main headphone, portable).
