  1. I really like mine, too. I agree, they do need to go in deep - I can only partially see red/blue part of them when I have them fully inserted.
  2. Well, so much me buying a pair anytime soon.
  3. I just remember that I never got around to wathing that. Thanks for the reminder!
  4. Already done! Although, I must admit, reading this thread and seeing the lovely pics makes me wonder why I ddin't go balanced.
  5. Am I the only one that doesn't like the SR-007 Mk2 look? The chmpagne brown mesh crashes with the black, IMO. I much prefer the original look, followed by BL version (pads, cable, and headband are balck). Nice one, Reks. I may now how to go change my avatar.
  6. Mine with RP-21 has been okay so far. The bass is bit too prominent for my liking, but keep in mind I'm not exactly a basshead (My personal preference is tight, articulate bass. If that costs me in quantity and impact, so be it). Overall, they do sound decent, especially considering the price point. We'll see how they do after more break-in.
  7. I can't remember who bought mine, either. I'm pretty sure that my unit was the first unit with balanced outs, though (I bugged Matt about it when I learned that Zapfilter can do balanced outs).
  8. Of course, you may have bought one of yours from my buyer - do you have any with balanced output?
  9. Wow, I'm surprised you didn't buy mine when I sold it a while ago. LOL.
  10. Seeing Todd's SP amp makes me want mine even more. It'll get here at some point, I guess. Earl - How many SACDmods.com 555ES's do you own?
  11. The machine's pretty old - it's close to 4 years old at this point. Considering how often I was using the machine (once every month or two), it's not worth my effort at this point to resurrect it. I also don't feel like tracking down my software either, after moving twice since getting the PC. It was just highly annoying that it died on me when all I needed was to copy 6 documents from it.
  12. The boot HD is dead. It's doing the dreaded "click" sound and it's not spinning anymore. This is what happens when I turn the damn thing on for the first time in month or two. Thankfully, all the data and files I want are on the second drive, so I just extracted those out of it onto my Mac. I may go Office Space on the PC this weekend.
  13. Well, as the title says, my PC is kaput. It has passed on! The PC is no more! It has ceased to be! Now, I have the fun task of trying to retrieve any pertinent data I hadn't backed up. Oh joy.
  14. That amp had Desktop Module and DAC in it.
  15. If you haven't chosen by then, I'll probably have some impression on RP-21's. I just need to burn them in some more and get a some decent listening time in with them.
  16. I, too, spent some time listening to Edition 9's at the Boston meet. I was going to add my impressions of them, but mine basically mirrors that of Nate and Deepak's (especially Nate's). Baby O's, on the other hand, I rather liked, with their faults and all.
  17. I wonder how that thing compares to similarly modified Denon 3910/3930.
  18. Never had any problem with them. I can tell them apart just fine.
  19. I meant, "your drive," of course. Damn that 5-min limit on editing.
  20. I don't envy your driver, or for that matter, amount of stuff you're bringing. For once, I only have one setup to a meet.
  21. I actually, I really liked them. It's just that my stat setup turned into my vinyl setup.
  22. I still can't believe Justin is attending both meets. He's nuts, in a good way, of course.
