  1. In terms of currently owning the L3k, I think the list includes: (If you include those who have owned L3ks in the past, the list is almost twice longer) Iron_Dreamer jpak dusty hirsch ayt999 tkam 909 hungrych darkless GoRedwings19 (I haven't seen Mike around in quite a long time; I don't know if he still has them) sasaki zChan Those are the ones I can basically name off the top of my head. But most likely there are more that I'm not aware of.
  2. I see that W100 hunting is not going well.

    GS1000

Messed around with 3k this summer. Yep, buying spree is in top gear. I'm actually slowing down though and selling off almost everything.
  4. I have the true man's Digikey and Mouser catalogs. Hah, but that's not exactly audio...

  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. The two W100 I owned were figments of my imagination, it seems.
  8. Out of those you've listed, I've heard or owned the MX500, PX100, numerous Sony MDRs over the course of almost two decades, the KSC-75, and the Portapro. - Most Sony MDRs really suck with a few exceptions. In terms of the few exceptions, they're unfortunately out of your price range by quite a lot, and most people would still prefer other similar priced headphones in those high level priceranges. - MX500 is decent. But I dislike earbuds, and the KSC-75, PX100, and Portapro are better. They're noticeably better than any earbuds that come with portable CD players or MP3 players - KSC-75 is pretty good. Inexpensive, quite portable, sounds rich and enjoyable for most people. (The now discontinued KSC-35 is better from what I've heard from many people, however.) - PX100 and Portapro are good, solid headphones. They're at the upper limit of your budget. The PX100 is more laid-back, while the Portapro is more engaging. I personally think the sound of the Portapro is more enjoyable, but the PX100 seems to look better in my opinion. Good luck!
  9. Perhaps for ears spoiled by high-end headphones. Completely different story for those who have not listened to such headphones.
  10. Saw it as well.
  11. Soon enough the D5000 will be a Head-Case FOTM. Oh snap.
  12. Nice. Just made a purchase yesterday as well. I swore that I would never buy a portable amp again (I've only had one - a SR-71 from years back which I quickly sold off), but I like the line-outs of my portable players and needed a simple amp for that. So guess where a fraction of the money I received for selling off random gear went? To an used PINT from I dunno where. But at least people tell me the PINT is pretty kickass. I'll probably keep the PINT through the summer and into the school year since I can see myself using one with my laptop while on-the-go. Too bad the battery life is a paltry three hours. P.S. I'm planning on acquiring a D5000 at the end of the summer as well. (That is when my checks come in.)
  13. Yeah, the Luna always struck me as one of the nicest commercial things around. If only it looked a little better, it would be so awesome. I listened to it a few weeks ago and absolutely enjoyed it. Best amp I've heard. But then, I haven't heard too many.
  14. Bleh. :'(
  15. Oh, but you got some shiny cables thrown in!
  16. Oh! Haha, I got lost my focus while reading the other things. Haha, yeah. My bad, sorry!
  17. Just in case for the computer illiterate (confused at livedoor), the main page is at http://blog.livedoor.jp/ninaslabo/ (where the navigation shows up and newer posts are at).
  18. Mobile? Similar to NYC? Utter *wahhhhhhtt??*!
  19. Well, a few grand a year actually. My parents are paying, that is. Actually, I'll have to pay the loans later on... Hmmm...
  20. One of the campus dorms.
  21. Regular cable.
  22. Harharharhahar.
  23. Wait, so basically you're saying Grado said "f' no" and Drew lied? That is messed up yo.
  24. I am almost absolutely sure that the stock L3000 does not have Cardas cables. In this case, it seems like it was recabled (officially?) with Cardas. Perhaps this was a custom order? (The originally owner requested the L3000 be recabled with Cardas when he bought it?)
  25. Damn. Where?
