Wow, I finally got it two days ago. It's quite a long album. I haven't even had the chance to listen through it all. But from what I've heard so far, it's spectacular. The album sure can push setups to their limits in my opinion.

So I've been hearing some interesting (some of which are believable) guesses and predictions regarding headphones that might be around the corner. Anyone want to chime in on what they think might be coming up? I'm predicting a lot of people will actually try to avoid this thread since it is based on nothing but guesses and rumors. But let's make sure once and for all. The comments in this thread will be pure speculation unless otherwise noted. New Stax? New Sennheiser dynamic headphone? 45th anniversary A-T woodie? Etc.? Just predictions. Just for fun. I hope nothing will be taken too seriously here.

Ah, I see. Both coax and optical. What do you think is the better one to use (coax or optical)? Or does actually depend on the quality of the implementation of the coax and optical on the transport and the DAC?

Hmmm, interesting. At $99, it looks like a good deal. I would unfortunately prefer the SB3 I guess due to the remote control ability and other particular features perks. I wonder how it compares with the Airport Express. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the two devices.

I could easily have bought the HF-1 during the offering period. I thought it was pure FOTM hype and let them go. Now that months have passed, it seems like they're actually solid performers. Do I regret not having bought one? Not particularly. But do I want grawk's HHF-1? Yes! Grawk's HHF-1 is unlike any other HHF-1. Apparently they're worth $1,500. And by the way, do I absolutely loathe the threads on Head-Fi regarding HF-1 profiteering and related whinning? Hell yes.

Yeah, that would be awesome. But I have a feeling they won't go that way. A-T probalby thinks the W1X series is too old-school. I voted for W2007. I want a L5000, but that means I won't be able to afford it. Haha. If they're going to make a L5K, they'll probably do it for 2012.

Haha true. But no matter how many different types are, limited numbers still make them special. It's almost akin to... limited edition toys (at least I know for toys in Japan)? Companies often release one or two LE toys a year, and a lot of people buy them. But then people who want them later are out of luck. Japanese audiophiles have the money. I'm sure audiophiles would love to collect them all. They're exactly like expensive toys as a matter of fact now that I think about it. People want them, A-T makes money. So basically there have been two anniversary woodies (W2002, W10LTD), and a few limited edition woodies (W11JPN, W11R, L3000). The W11VTG, W100, W1000, and W5000 are not special woodies. So I guess that makes 5 out of 9 A-T woodies are special. I agree though. They're probably not as special as they may seem. But they're expensive. That makes them special as well.

Haha same here. On many forums, I often post and edit my posts around three times or more within five minutes. Of course, I hit the five minute mark here at Head-Case a few times as well. I hate it when forums don't allow editting. I understand the "Proofread before you post or be sorry later!" remarks, but argh.

The Zhaolu 2 is better than the G08. http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2105324&postcount=1 This brings up a question I've had. Yeah, yeah. We all know about the fanboyism. But fanboyism sometimes has its limits. Some of these people actually do think the Zhaolu is the best thing ever. Some of them don't seem to be actual advertisers either. So how did it happen? So strange. Is it actually that good?

Is everyone at the meet? Is that why no one is on Head-Case? Bah. I can't wait until the summer.
