  1. Well they'll be perfect for my needs. I'll buy you breakfast at the Hummingbird!
  2. OMG! Those are gorgeous! And I love that the height is adjustable. Are you sure you don't want to hold onto them?
  3. Damn that's cheap! I need to go to Ikea on Thursday anyway (bed frame, nightstands, bedding), so that's a great option. Thanks for the tip!
  4. That was my first thought, but it just didn't quite fit. There were several other pics, and I had no trouble naming them, but this one was a tough one. Ding ding ding! We have a winner! I think that's it.
  5. I need some reasonably priced speaker stands. I've taken my Daber Audio Monitor 3's out of storage, and I've shipped them to my new home in the Sacramento area, but I'll want some 18" to 22" stands to get them at a good height. I've combed the web, but thought you guys might have some recommendations that I may have overlooked.
  6. ^ Me too. Happy belated Birthday Mike!!!
  7. I would tend to agree. Hah, I've seen a similar video before. The only way I'd ride more than one is if my fantasy of twins comes true.
  8. Happy Belated Birthday Birgir!
  9. Cool, thanks Tyll, on my way to check it out.
  10. ^ !!!!
  11. You seem familiar.
  12. Belated Happy Birthday Greg!
  13. I think pecan shell media blasting would work well on Aluminum, maybe copper slag as well. Polishing that lower area will look awesome!

Did I mention I'm in the market for a scooter?
  15. "I'm gonna get medieval on your ass!"
  16. Congrats! May you have a long and very happy marriage!
  17. At least he doesn't have Shirley McClain droning on in the Past Lives Pavilion.
  18. I think that once you sand out the milling pattern, you could probably use some 320 grit sandpaper to achieve the frosted look you want. use a block of wood or a sanding block, and keep the block moving in one direction (you can use that bump out at the bottom as a guide for the sanding block). I think that the clear anodizing is a good idea to harden the finish.
  19. Yeah, a full face helmet is the only way to go. And you're probably right on the riding suit and gloves too.
  20. I don't think the Vespa is what Ari was looking at Carl. But yeah, they definitely have a cool factor!
  21. I lived in the bay area for about 4 years. Even when it does rain, it's nothing like Texas rain. I think a rain pancho will suffice.

You really need to understand that this is not Head-Fi. We're not interested in giving you a podium to tout your opinions. We don't welcome all new members with open arms here. We are a group of friends, and we're selective about who we think fits in here. If you feel that we are not being fair or open minded as to your favorite amps/builders, you are right. Tough noogies! Stick with that other site.
  23. Cool! I should have read further. I wasn't aware of such a thing. Will add that to the list. I see a 2007 650 Burgman for sale in Sacramento... http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2007-Suzuki-Burgman-650-110476311 Looks clean.
  24. Happy Birthday guys!
  25. It would be rare that I would cruise on the highway, but I like the idea of having the option. I've never owned a motorcycle, and like the idea of a scooter. I'm lazy and don't want to shift gears, not to mention that scooters are kind of gay, so it's a good fit. The bigger scooters do have larger tires than small scooters, though not as large as bike.
