  1. Frequent flyers out there have probably heard of Hipmunk. I use it and love it. Now Hipmunk will integrate your Google Calendar entries to help you avoid conflicts. Definitely a new favorite thing for me. http://techcrunch.co...ct-free-flying/ I recommend these. I have a pair and think they are money well spent. http://www.zappos.co...-lodge-schiefer They also make slides, if that is more your thing (it might be easier to slip on). I have tried the slides and they seem to be better than other slides out there: http://www.zappos.co...7889/color/1394
  2. Thanks, guys. Appreciated.
  3. That looks perfect. Thanks. **Edit: But unavailable in the hick town I live in. Open to other suggestions.
  4. Woops. I have a ton of his recordings, including the WW2 version, and had thought that this was the SACD version of it when I posted. But you are right. This album is great:
  5. I just purchased a pair of Quad 12L. Anyone have a suggestion for speaker stands? It would be best if I could source them from the internet. I hate going to dealers.
  6. My wife and I got caught up in a Occupy Denver protest when we were at CanJam. If anyone is interested, here is a post about it from her blog: http://www.avianexpl...r-art-museum-2/
  7. Furtwangler, Beethoven's 9th (recorded during WW2), SACD by Tahra
  8. X3 Be nice.
  9. Jaster - I'm not a nice person like the others here. My advice is this: do what MexicanDragon said.
  10. Be amazed:
  11. Terrifying. Sounds like this, but bigger :
  12. Yeah, a monkey that drinks wine is kind of terrifying. Did you have a monkey handler, or are you a free range monkey?
  13. I did not want to seem too forward or invite myself to any comings or goings. None of the people I talk to regularly made the trip, and, as a result, I did not have the 411 on what everyone was doing . So, not a lot of social goodness for me, but it was still a nice trip. There will be other meets in the future and I will introduce myself to you all then. That's an old one.
  14. That would be me.
  15. Computer is acting wonky. This is an accidental post.
  16. I listened to the PS500, and can confirm they do sound a little different than the HF2. Their build quality is at an all time low - some sort of cheap allow or something? I don't know what the metal is, but it feels very, very cheap. It does sound okay though. Here some pics: Crappy PS500: **Notice how stupid the lettering looks? Typical crappy build quality from Grado: The Woo Monoblock was fun: This socket thingy is used to roll different tubes in the Monoblock: **Notice that under his hand is a box full of different socket thingys that can be used for different tubes, i.e., tube rolling nirvana. Woo has giant, man-sized tubes . . . some of which appear to be black: Some are smaller, and not black: Woo's CDP and DAC: Lots of inputz: I really liked this amp from Woo, but, it was like $10K(?). The Senn HD800 sounded fantastic in this system. Audeze has a giant speaker that sounds like a lot of other speakers. The guy in the Audeze room was seriously helpful, and very smart. He must have spent 30 minutes talking to me and answering all my questions. I bet they have great customer service: They also have new headphones that do not sound as good as their previous headphones: What is this jackass smiling for? The Super7 is promising - I wish Doug had his ECC amps at CanJam - they would have made a lot of new fans: This amp has bright colors: This R2R at the bottlehead booth sounded fun (I bet Jeff liked it); I was suprised to like much of what they had: This was not as bad as I expected it would be - the amp designer was really cool: And I made a new friend:
  17. Have you checked the restaurant on the 2nd floor? Some folks are there.
  18. Great to be in a *real* city again. I'm at City O City restaurant eating a burger and drinking a rice ale.
  19. Heading out for the airport now. Should arrive at about noon.
  20. I think that is a screech owl, Shelly. Very cool to have that in your own backyard.
  21. I enjoyed this weird story, and thought others might too: http://www.owlpages.com/articles.php?section=Owl+Stories&title=Caring+Owl
  22. Actually, it is selling for $119 right now from Amazon. Hard pressed to beat that if purchasing new: http://www.amazon.com/Musical-Fidelity-MFVLINK-V-Link/dp/B004PH03GU
