Thanks for the well wishes gang. I have to say that I am very proud of Mrs. Monkey. She was extremely aggressive with her former company and in her job search such that she was able to leave early and landed 3 job offers. And this is after not having seriously interviewed in 10 years! We feel very fortunate because it is still a very sour market out there.

Got x-rays, saw the doc. He said knee is pretty swollen. I thought, "no shit, Sherlock." Blood work and MRI next, but need to wait for new insurance card since we are on Mrs. Monkey's plan at her brand new job.

The GES is nice, but it will suffer from similar problems to the 007t--it's underpowered for the O2. I wanted very much for that not to be the case, but listening to the combo at several meets convinced me.

Compared to a KGSS, they are being under-driven by a relatively wide margin. I loved the O2 (both mk1 and mk2) out of the 007tii. In fact, I still love that amp. But I felt a certain "hollowness" in comparison to the KGSS, which just seems to kick those phones into another gear. I feel like the O2 is much more nimble and "sings" more out of the KGSS. Whatever the fuck any of that means.

This info may be elsewhere, but I can't find it so apologies in advance... Can you guys recommend a decent SPL meter that I could use for volume matching, etc.?

I have the Neko DAC on loan (thanks Wes!). Listening to it right now. I haven't had it for that long, but I can already say that this is a fine DAC and I can easily see this group liking it. I have it going head-to-head with the PS Audio right now, which should actually be kind of interesting because they are both using Wolfson chipses, although different models I think. I'll have more to say, but I like what I'm hearing so far out of it with the B22 and HF2s.
