  4. What is this dac/iPod device of which you speak?
  5. Nate is retired.
  6. ^If Al does the HF one, I will too. I am a copycat.
  7. I watched the video of the swap out. It looks like a major pain in the ass. Jin, how long did it take you?
  8. Heh, I'd melt it down and stuff it in one of the DAC holes.
  9. Just calling it Clyde would be pretty mint. Or the Tubey Mammoth.
  10. Jin, where's a reliable place to get a screen?
  11. GS1 + ECD-1 probably equals serious goodness. I could see those two playing nicely together.
  12. I already bought the service (as a donation to the NYC meet), so the only other option would be to sell the donated service to someone else, but I figured I would like to try it out anyway. Vinnie will replace the battery for free (I supply the battery) and will fix the screen for $50. Probably worth it just to have him do it. I just hate the idea of being required to buy that ALO LOD. EDIT: Vinnie seems like a good guy, btw.
  13. It's actually the backlight that's a problem on mine. Is that even something that an LCD replacement will fix?

I'm in a similar boat as Nate. Jack's birthday is June 1, and having his party on Memorial Day weekend may not be feasible. As of now, I'm in, but I need to put my actual chances at 50/50.
  15. How hard/easy is it to replace the LCD screen by oneself?

  17. Good question, I'll ask him.
  18. Nums, happy birthday! Eat 100 cupcakes.
  19. Posty is right. Especially because the iPhono connects to teh interwebs (i.e., a series of tubes).
  20. I won an iMod from Vinnie at the NYC Meet. Well, not exactly won. I bought it for $100. I currently have a 5.5G iPod, but the LCD screen is starting to flake (I bought it refurbed from Apple) and Vinnie informed me that I would need to get an ALO LOD, which I think is $85 to use the iMod. I'm not a huge fan of that arrangement. Would it be wiser to find a cheap 4G and get that done?
  21. I can't believe I find that "mars" color tempting.
  22. +10 invisibility points?
  23. Mike, remember that this has to be done inconspicuously.
  24. ^Heh, I once worked on a merger between two pork producers. I needed to a lot of research about ham and bacon production. Delicious.
  25. The Spud amp sounded sweet. And that thing runs hot! I didn't spend too much time with it but I like that amp.
