And all J&D's are Kosher.

"Yes, there are rabbis out there with enough chutzpah to certify things with bacon in the name as kosher. Fortunately, there is no such thing as eternal damnation in the Jewish faith. If you keep kosher, the good news is that all of J&D's products are Kof-K certified. Hickory, Peppered, Jalapeno, Maple, Applewood and Mesquite Bacon Salts are Kof-K Parve, while Original, Natural, and Cheddar Bacon Salts along with Regular and Lite Baconnaise are Kof-K Dairy. Please visit Kof-K :: Your Connection to the Kosher Market to learn more about Kof-K kosher certification."

anyone try the baconnaise yet?

Strange but not bad. A bit like salty chocolate is. I wouldn't replace my Heinz or Hellmans with it though. It's worth a go.

I dunno, for how much it costs, I expected better. For me, their bacon chocolate tasted like bacon AND chocolate, not bacon chocolate.

Well, I did say it was "not bad". :) I will say that I thought the bacon flavor was more subtle, at least the ones we tasted.

Maybe this will help

Failed attempt at emotional blackmail

In my previous research position we used pigs between 5 and 80kg...... we would catch, anaesthetise, cut the throat, and remove the lungs to take back to the lab for experimentation. Every morning as I was elbow-deep in the thoracic cavity, tearing away at the connective tissue near the diaphragm and scooping the lungs out, all I could think of was how delicious pork ribs are.
