And I don't even have any electrostats, just the horribly non linear TakeT and I can still tell this amp was just transformed :-/ Maybe it's time to put Elephas in "silent mode" on Headfi so people can stop reading his posts about them and keep prices moar sane

I don't think the P1 has a glass platter (or I keep seeing places advertising the glass platter upgrade for it). The acrylic platter moves away from the "Rega sound" (which I like) to more bass and slower attack.

The glass platter does sound better on the Rega P5 I heard vs the acrylic.

I have to say I warmed up to the 404LE after hearing them again on Jon's tube Exstata. Maybe his amp just needed to warm up (sounded a bit thin when I first tried them) but I enjoyed his setup a lot.

Thanks, I have the Assemblage DAC with me. Nate the BH is working fine with the old quad of EH (confirmed with TakeT), they're near the end of their life though so I'm trying to use them as little as possible. I can't wait for the Omega 2 to come back from Japan. I will probably be in a little after 10.

Son of a bitch, just set up everything at my parents house. The new quad of EL34s I ordered are also duds and the Denon DVD2900 that was in storage is not working. On the slightly positive side I plugged the TakeT into their Classe power amp via transformer box and the fugly phones are sounding good (as far as the TakeT goes), bass heads are in for some fun. Listening to Rock N Roll Ain't Noise Pollution Does anyone have a spare CD player with digital out? :'(
