What other MC carts in that price range have you heard? Just wondering, because statements like this "IMHO, you would have to spend a lot more to get anything better. " are pretty bold.

HE 1.2B and Buffalo Loaner Program.
I have the whole afternoon off, so I'll post some initial impressions in the evening. I'm listening to The Arcade Fire now (and finished some Dolphy), and I'm enjoying the sound.

Ah right, I have only briefly tried it as a DAC.- Cheap USB Amp/DAC?
I second the Transit, I believe I paid $50 for it after making a WTB thread on Headfi. Chris- what don't you like about the Transit? The ability to do 24 bit, 96 KHz digital out was a really great feature that most cheaper USB transports lacked.- Top Chef

If there was a way to get that much bass out of an MS2/i that would be nice. Aside from the Alessandro markings, IIRC people sell those aluminum cups for about $50.- USB--->SPDIF converters and such

Just don't say the O))) part and nobody ends up in Jacob's basement- sunn o))) are back (sunn + ancient church organs!)

Thanks Nate. I was a bit confused by the wording on AMB's site. I'm more interested in one of these for myself, but it would have to be USB powered.- Post the last thing you bought!

I take it the y1 can be USB powered?- LCD, plasma purchase help
Sitting about 12' away from the TV. We had a 60" DLP at our old apartment from slightly further back and it was great. I settled on 50/52 since it's good price:size ratio. Ken: I'll check out the Samsungs, when I was researching earlier IIRC Sharp and Sony were ahead of the game. edit: I'll definitely wait until black friday and the week following to see the sales. I don't know if I can hold out until next year though.- LCD, plasma purchase help
Interesting. But sports will be most of the regular TV watching that I'll be doing - Cheap USB Amp/DAC?
