A biologist walks into a bar and says to the barman: "I'll have a pint of Adenosine triphosphate please." And the barman says: "That'll be ATP."

What did you do today?
I like this Gatto character. I hope that she proves to be an effective countercultural foil against Fitz, because as a gin infused english 70 year old man trapped inside a 24 year old scottish boys body, I do not have the capacity to do so myself and thus provide sufficient representation for our age demographic. Also Fitz, post those insane anime videos you were watching at Damjam in the slow forum thread please

Will do. Indeed. When I say slow, I mean a speed of like 6kbps. To wit: It is about half done.

It isn't. Posts in the Off Topic forum don't go toward post count.

HiMD does 16/41 lossless. But it means a different disc every 90 minutes (at 1gig per disc). What sort of stuff did you record?

Fortuitously, almost every beach photo came out entirely black. Although Deepak got a couple where people are visible.

After a brief look-see I was thinking about something like the Tascam DR-100 as the recorder. But I'll check out all the FAQs and things around the place. Would you advocate flash over HiMD Grawk? The minidisc I'd looked at was the MZ-RH1.

I'm thinking about getting into recording. Portable recorder, maybe make a dummy head. Regular visits to the Younger Hall, field recordings, whatever. Anyone here into recording? Is there a forum for this sort of thing? Where does one learn which bits of kit are best to buy?

You were listening to them out of the little Headamp lite though. Might have been better paired with the Silver Ghost, or, let me see if I can remember this right, The small 1 tube transformer coupled amp that wasn't hammertoned enough. I LOVED them out of the Singlepower in Florida.

Firstwatt F5: Why some people should not DIY
Doesn't matter. I'll buy him Negronis if he isn't keen on beer. Or slippery nipples if he isnt keen on gin.

Firstwatt F5: Why some people should not DIY
My first soldering joints looked like that, and I had an OLD iron at the time which was down to the copper core and needed the rust scraped off of it every minute or so as it formed. I was literally soldering with a nail you find on the beach. I wish a had a photo of it.

Doug won't get bugger all in this amp. The amp is yours. I'm going Quad 909, it's just a matter of when. I'll trade you in the return against building me a T2 or an olive loaf, or a trip to the penis museum or something. Just don't even think about return involvement. 2 secs....
