The sun came out today and I picked up the 1Ds I bought a little while back. My right arm now looks like I got it from Arnold Schwarzenegger. I like it a lot though. I don't see myself restocking on 35mm film after I use up what I have. (The exif on those photos is misleading. The lens was an Olympus OM Zuiko 50mm f1.8 )

Thanks guys! My technical arguments for why I'm really only 27 didn't float with the birthday bash crowd, but then some people can't handle the truth.... Humiliatingly enough, I sliced it open with my new penknife in my eagerness to open the parcel ¬ _¬

The 1Ds arrived. It is not light. Feels even more solid than the 1N though. Handles just like the 1N. Right down to the practical ISO limit at 1250. 40mm FOV is best FOV. I shall take it out this weekend and give my back muscles a workout.

I've been using my X100 again after months with the OMD and while, yes, the autofocus does suck by comparison (although mine is the original one, which sucks worst) it really is such fun to use. Hope that you get much enjoyment from yours As an aside. I keep mine in manual focus mode the entire time and use the AEL button as the autofocus button.
