  1. That's some HD600 he got from ray. Military grade isolation.
  2. That's a pretty big case! Imagine that on top of the sigma case. If both cases are that tall.. Fridge amp! Congrats on offering such a great high end amp to the masses a hug is in order. (>'-')> <('-'<)
  3. Well the superfi 5pro don't fit very well at all. Initially it feels snug but the large size of the body and they way that they don't go in very deep means they have good initial stability but poor final stability. Maybe since your ears are probably much larger than mine it works well. Just thinking of how the triple fi is even larger, I can't imagining anyone using them comfortably. I mean its for portable use, I'd take perfect fit and worry free use over a bit of sq and economy in price any day- after having used so many iems... \
  4. lol 400 bucks. 150 more and you can get es2's
  5. Am I the only one to think the new flatter knob looks really cheap?
  6. the only thing that comes remotely close to the hc. masturbation.
  7. Installation... Thats one good deal. I tried installed cable on my K501. Ended up breaking half the cover just because I refused to read the instruction manual. There was one stupid screw hidden under the K501 sticker which I didn't remove, so I tried all kinds of spoons and knifes to pry it open. So 200 for 5 feet with installation is a damn good deal.
  8. Ok so it will be (>'-')> <('-'<) with the kirby's facing the direction you should turn for loudness. Thanks for the rewire trick guys!
  9. awwww you know im just playin =] obviously even if you're not making it by hand it still is custom wire- hence the cost! Take for example your ipod dock. It uses your custom wire stuff, and is well built with heavy duty plug. 70 bucks. Then compare it to alo's stuff which uses wire/connectors anyone can buy (jenalabs off the shelf wire is cheaper than you think). Costs almost double. Dielectric secret alo glue? Give me a break. Ive made cables that only uses the strain relief and none of them ever fell apart- and no glue is better than any secret alo glue. Even worse... look a the microshar stuff Penny per meter wire, random budget plugs... 100 dollars?
  10. The stepped pot i got already has the resistors attached so I can't really do that without desoldering all that jazz. I hate desoldering. <----- weak.
  11. I like the prices. $160 for a cable that may not even reach the dap in your shirt pocket. Maybe the only thing the 1ft works with is something hanging off your neck. i get it. I guess there is more silver overall than the copper at the core, and the teflon seems to be... extruded? for an airtight seal? In other words, he electroplates many times with silver and then dips the thing in teflon sauce himself? >.> I can see how it gets expensive to pull this stuff off because he is making the wire himself, literally
  12. The direction should have been like they are facing the direction of the sound <('-'<) for L and (>'-')> for R but then it looks like they are running away from each other so I changed it to (>'-')> <('-'<) to simulate an incoming hug. If i kept it the first way, I COULD make the left knob turn opposite way to increase volume, using a shaft with a gear and another gear on the actual stepped pot. Thing is, if someone didnt know, they would turn the left knob all the way "down" then pop it on their ears.. and well.. here comes the "dance" part. Dance of agony.
  13. FPE version. It runs just under 44USD If I use my own panel. If they made the panel, the max would be 4mm, while the one that came withe the case is 6mm. Here is the actual file: .fpd file
  14. EXACTLY! That was what I would have done, make a stencil with illustrator, then use dremel and engrave it like this Probably much easier with fpe. I am using the creator program right now, and it seems very good. Ill see the prices they quote in the end. I know what those things i was describing is called now, an indentation. Basically I will be using two 48mm knobs, and need a 3mm deep by 50mm circular indentation for each knob.
  15. well the panel that already came with it is very nice. I have no idea if fpe allows shipping of your own panel to them. Plus it will be mighty expensive no doubt when all i need is two recessions, and four holes- something that a person with the right tools can do in 10 minutes. Ill download their program and try it out. Thanks for the info grawk- If they can work on stuff I send, I could make one with inscriptions. Otherwise, Ill try them out for later stuff.
  16. Ill be making a balanced ckkIII with usb opus dac in one chassis: ati 737-u I have drills and tools but can only do so much. The aluminum front panel is very thick and I won't be able to make indents for the two volume knobs, or even drill two basic holes for the neutrik combos. If anyone has tools to do this stuff, I would be willing to ship the case over. Ill discuss the actual details and sizes etc and the work to be done by aim or whatever. Besides the aluminum, I will have an acrylic sheet of similar thickness and two pieces of carbon fiber sandwitched together. Whatever is drilled on the aluminum will be done the same on the acrylic. The reason is, front panel rolling. lol. Aluminum for everyday, polished acrylic/carbon front panel for meets. =P Basically all I need is two indentations of about 40mm, and in the middle of the indentation, a hole for the volume pot. As for the jacks, Two holes the size of this would be fine. I can pay by paypal and ship with priority. Nate? anyone else?
  17. Sell me your less than perfect k1000
