  1. That will teach you to stay out of the jacuzzi with your 13's
  2. I like Ron Carter, Brian Bromberg though he tends to be a little more contemporary in style, some of his tracks in Wood and Wood II are reminiscent of some later Ray Brown works. Dave Holland is another more contemporary style bassist but some of his work really appeals to me. Also, Niels Henning Orsted Pedersen and Harald Johnsen. Jaco Pastorius, Charlie Hayden, John Patitucci, Scott Lafaro and Marcus Miller.
  3. Started my daughter's driving lessons today. Somehow between a Drano enema, chainsaw lobotomy, a red hot fireplace poker root canal, or driving lessons with my daughter, I think it would be a coin toss.
  4. Glad to see you made it safe and reasonably sound. Need any coffee beans or cigars? You probably have more than enough gear to crush the coffee beans and light the cigars huh.

  13. Be careful of low ceilings, I learned that the hard way. It has been a few years since my lessons but I loved every minute of it, especially the part where you scream as you strike the dummies. Perhaps you can bring yours to CanJam and we can spar a little.......on iPod*kendodummie*bj? Speedy recovery Nate, biking is the ideal therapy. I've had ACL reconstruction with screws and all, the biking is the best medicine.

  16. Steve, where did you get the XLR female to RCA adaptors?
  17. I should be since I emailed them enough about getting the setup right. But so far I have received no offer of any additional discounts. I have no problem emailing them for some concession if you decide to go that route.
  18. I am a Metric Halo customer, and one of their favorites I might add. If I can help Andy or anyone else let me know; just as long as the help isn't technical in nature or involve 'puters or amp circuits, or signal path routing or just about anything else.
  19. Two bottles of 1991 Glenrothes, Alban Reva Syrah and some Bordeaux.
  20. Given what I have seen around here, and this is of course a small universe, I would say that observation is accurate.

  24. Back at work playing catch up for being out of the office so much these past weeks. This past week has been very surreal. For those of you who have never experienced a military funeral it is a very impressive and emotional experience. The most difficult part of the ceremony was following the flag draped casket as it was being carried by the honor guard into the chapel and watching all the veterans present slowly rise and salute the casket as it passes. Next, when the sergeant of the honor guard presents the tri-folded American flag to my father’s widow, he leans down and whispers something into her ear then places three small objects into her hand. His final words are, “I am sorry for your loss”. A simple yet moving ceremony.
  25. Round trip tickets to Tucson AZ. Time for closure.................
