Like most things in audio, good costs, great costs big and awesome is relative and friggin' expensive. I am always looking for great value wines, and Sea Smoke is what I consider a great value Pinot. To each his own I guess.

Dinny, I think the EC/SS is a fantastic choice and I am sure he will love the combo you picked out for him. I loved the EC/SS for the time I had it in my system and occasionally wonder if I should have kept it along with my tube amp.
